Chapter 7
“Acelynn, make no mistake, Lynley is my child. Even if he calls you ‘Mommy, you have no right to claim him as your own.” I reached out for Lynley, trying to bring him over.
He hesitated, then clung tightly to Acelynn. My heart sank.
Keith shielded them with his presence, his eyes sharp and unyielding like a hawk’s. “Lesley, from the moment we divorce, you will no longer be Lynley’s mother. Don’t show up in front of him again, or I won’t hesitate to do something to make sure you remember
it.”

I knew Keith was usually cold and heartless, but I never expected him to be so merciless. “He’s my child,” I said, my voice trembling with anger and helplessness.
Keith merely smirked, “Not anymore. You can always have another.”
Over the years, I thought Keith didn’t care about Lynley. But now, he was fiercely protecting him, even forbidding him from calling me “Mom.” Was it because Lynley won Acelynn’s favor?
Keith was willing to sacrifice anything for Acelynn. I gave a bitter laugh, “Keith, you don’t love Lynley. Now, for Acelynn, you’re pretending to care. You’re truly disgusting.”

I almost bit out the last word in disgust.
Keith remained silent, but a strange smile curved at his lips. Lynley, held in Acelynn’s arms, didn’t even glance in my direction.
At that moment, I didn’t even want this child anymore. After the divorce from Keith, I hadn’t seen him again. The property division was clear. the villa was mine. Looking at the house filled with their presence, I contacted a real estate agent and sold it. The yard was cluttered with belongings, and the moving company was still sorting through everything.
Standing at the gate, I suddenly heard a voice.

“Are you moving?”
I looked up to see a tall figure standing not far away. He was wearing a black shirt tucked into his trousers, highlighting his refined physique. I squinted, feeling a sense of familiarity, but couldn’t place where I’d seen him before.
He glanced at the messy yard and raised an eyebrow. “Your husband isn’t around?”
Who was this person? I wasn’t familiar with him. But instinctively, I nodded. “Yes, moving.”
“Why?”
“Because of the divorce. I want to move.”

“Divorce?” He murmured, frowning slightly. But in the next moment, his expression relaxed as he patted a small figure at his feet. “Go, hug her leg and call her ‘Mom.”
I then noticed a child beside him. The child seemed familiar, and as he wobbled towards me, he wrapped his little arms around my leg and looked up, calling out in a clear, bright voice, “Mom.”
