With the soothing evening breeze blowing Joanna brought the motorcycle that Bhtsabeth wanted over to Haven Garden.
As the motorcycle came to a stop. Joanna widened her eyes, taking in Elizabeth’s fragile face from all sides. Then she shook her head and sighed, “It’s pretty normal for someone like Franklin not to fancy us. Don’t take it too hard,” Elisabeth didn’t respond. She tucked her long hair behind her ears, put on her helmet, and turned to Joanna, saying, “Hop on the back. Today, I’m driving.” “Elizabeth, your marriage might be a mess 1.on’t joke around with my life,” Joanna said.
Elisabeth couldn’t help but roll at Joanna.
Seeing that, Joanna reluctantly gave away the driver’s seat and moved to the back. She clung tightly to Elizabeth’s waist, her heart pounding. Amidst a few engine revs, she slowly advised, “Betty, this bike hasn’t been serviced in ages. Be careful out there, Ahr”
Suddenly, a powerful force propelled Elizabeth forward. A blast of cold wind hit her throat hard, and the howling wind echoed in her ears. The rushing motorcycle speed forcefully stirred the air, creating a thin film of wind that quickly dissipated before fully taking shape
Nightfall surrounded them. The neon lights from distant high–rises had long faded. It was around 10 PM, and the empty street provided Elizabeth with plenty of room to drive, Ignoring Joanna’s screams, she pushed the speed to the max, accelerating as if driven by a raging storm,
Joanna held onto her waist, crying and pleading, “Betty, please, don’t be reckless. Even though your marriage is falling apart you still have a chance to start over. You’re young. Don’t lose hope!”
Instead of slowing down, Elizabeth leaned forward, racing past a series of blinking green lights. As they approached the intersection, with just a second left on the yellow light before it flipped to red, Joanna yelled out, “Red light! Red light!”
Not far from the intersection, the motorcycle finally slowed down, but it was still faster than the other vehicles on the road.
Outside the car window in the dim shadows, a faint, dark streak whizzed by swiftly. The engine noise was thundering
At the wheel, Jerry was startled, nearly swerving off the track. That was a close call, He peered ahead at the motorcycle halted at the red light, muttering under his

The engine noise already roused Franklin, who was resting in the back seat. He groggily opened his eyes, looking dazed and unfocused as he gazed out the window.
The red light started counting down. Franklin saw two women sit on the pitch–black motorcycle with their faces obscured by helmets. The woman in the back seat seemed to be struggling. Then slushed up her visor and patted her chest, panting for breath.
Before Franklin could get a good look, Jerry rolled down the driver’s side window. The proximity to the motorcycle allowed Franklin a close view of the rider’s form, yet her face remained shrouded. Somehow, he felt that the woman resembled Elizabeth.
Before he could confirm her identity, the red light suddenly flickered a few times, then the green light popped on. The motorcycle once again shot forward at top speed. By the time Jerry hit the gas, the motorcycle had vanished. The rider completely disregarded traffic rules, recklessly barreling through the limited–speed zone at night.
Thinking they had lost sight of the riders for good, they unexpectedly spotted the motorcycle at the next intersection amidst the flashing red and blue lights. This time, though, the cops had pulled over the motorcycle, and the riders had hopped off
Not just Jerry, but Franklin too, could see the scene.
In the dimly moonlit night, the moon’s glow cascaded down, illuminating Elizabeth’s slender shoulders, tracing along the curves of her bones.
She took off her helmet, running her fingers through her loose, long hair. Some strands partially covered her face. Even if they only caught a glimpse of her eyes, they still recognized her–the renowned beauty of Yaville, none other than Elizabeth Taylor
