must admit, I’ve always taken Monday mornings in stride.
My life has been a good ride in ease and efficiency, with each day unfolding like a perfectly planned schedule.
Whether I had a packed schedule or a free morning ahead, I’d rise early, dress well, and be ready to take down the day with precision and poise
Hut, it seems, fatherhood has introduced a new level of something beyond my usual schedule. Something that has come to invade my perfect and seamless mutine.
The chaos that comes with raising a family has left me wondering if this is what it means to be the head of the house – navigating the unpredictable, embracing the unknown, and finding a new sense of purpose in the situation because I can assure anyone, there will be situations. When I got married to Kimberly, it wasn’t that much of a problem.
She went her way and I went mine, and at the end of the day, we’ll meet and make love.
And that was it.
Maybe if a kid had gotten involved in our lives back then as it has now, to me and Naomi.
Maybe it’ll be exactly like the scene that is unfolding behind me.

It’s been exactly five hours since we all woke up, ready to beat the morning and leave for the water park as planned.
But when I tell you kids are something else.
They indeed are.
Jake and Blake are having a fight and the fight has been going on for hours now.
Somehow Blake secretly switched guns with Jake and now Jake wants his water gun back or however the story goes.
Their babysitter has been trying to calm them down, but it’s not working
I have tried, but it’s not working
They won’t let anyone touch them and they’re just pouting and refusing to do whatever I say..
I’ve tried to bribe them but it’s not working.
I don’t know how to get them to work with me here.
And the day I need Naomi to tame them the most is the day she decides she wants to sleep in

I am the most coordinated man, and 1 am not bragging, I believe so.
Anyone would be from birth if they grew up with a father like mine.
And I’ve always believed because I am so coordinated, my future family- which I certainly have planned for, one time in my life, would follow in my footsteps.
But boy, how my calculations are so wrong.
After looking around the house. I am starting to give up when Naomi starts to descend down the stairs, yawning like she’s about to rip her lips

Somehow she manages to read my expression before I can get a word out.
“Is something wrong?” She pauses to look around.
“Jake and Bake” I repeat
“What? What happened to my boys” She rushes her words.

After a few minutes, she emerges with the two of them in tow, their little faces beaming with excitement.
Hand in hand, the three of them start making their way downstairs, their footsteps echoing through the house as they head towards me.
I raise my eyebrows for Naomi and she beams at me.
I want to ask how she does it, but I choose not to.
Only because it’ll make me appear weaker and less reliable.
“Bravo” I say to her.
“Well, we better start leaving for that water park“.
Her smile is boastful and her eyes are trampling on my ego.
I don’t say anything and just walk away.
After spending another two hours getting ready.
We all walk out of the mansion, and that’s when I decide to reveal the family car I had purchased two nights ago.

I have ignited the car when Elena appears in front of us and dashes towards as with a small tote bag.
“Ma’am. You forgot your swimsuit. I have carefully packed it with some sunscreen just in case you need them”
Naomi suddenly looks touched.
She’s easily touched by everything and everyone. No wonder that wussy called Charles Dickson, got into her head easily.
“Thank you Elena” Naomi beams and takes the bag from Her
I close the window the moment Elena leaves and start the drive.

park isn’t that far, a ten minutes drive that is as smooth as a slide.
As we get close, I briefly glance at Naomi who is searching for something on her phone.
“So the plan today is to just pretend to have fun. I rented the entire place for us.”
“Whoa.” Naomi gawks at me.
“What! You don’t think I let my kids hang out in a crowded place. Two or more is a crowd”

I watch Naomi’s mouth drop at the enormous sight of the water park.
“This is.. wow” she breaches.
“It feels good to know we’re alone here.” I say.
The twins feel like over the moon and in an instant they both grab their guns and start to shoot out water against each other.
“No” Naomi stops them. “Let’s get changed first. You’re not going to ruin your perfectly dried clothes”
They both listen to her and drop their guns.
“Where do we change!” Naomi asks.
“There’s no one here. You can strip naked and no one would see” I say taking off my shirt and pulling out my sunglasses,
The sun is perfectly hotter than usual.
“You’ve got to be kidding me” Naomi shakes her head.
She looks around, and then turns back to me.
“You can help the boys change into their swim shorts. I’ll go change in there” She says, pointing to a closed door.
“Sure” I nod.
Naomi disappears and before I can breathe, the boys start to whine at me to help them take their clothes off.
Their tiny bodies become bare in no time and they immediately grab their gun to start playing again.
I hear the sound of a door being shut behind me, and when I turn around. I am immediately forced to take off my shades.
Naomi is in a two piece swimsuit, showing all paleness of her skin and curves. And…
