Chapter 11
Sofia’s Point of View
“I love you so much, Sof. You are the most beautiful woman in the world. You have no idea how happy I am that you are finally here with me. Now, we can finally be together. I am so happy we can finally be together,” Ethan said as he hugged me. We were standing in the woods, and the moon was shining bright. Ethan started moving closer to me, and I knew he was about to kiss my lips, but I moved away.
“This is wrong, Ethan. We can never be together. We are from two different worlds. No one would want us together,” I said sadly.
“You are wrong, Sofia. We are meant to be together. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. You are mine, and I am yours. I will never let you go.” Ethan said, making my heart flutter. We both moved closer to each other so that we could kiss, but then I heard Ella’s voice.
“Sofia, Sofia, time to wake up,”
I opened my eyes and saw Ella standing there in front of me.
“Hey,” Ella said. I looked at the clock to see it was almost noon. I was shocked that I had slept that long. I was used to waking up early, even on the weekends. I blame it on the comfortable king–size bed I was in. I was used to sleeping on a mattress that was on the floor in my room. I had it

since I was eleven. Someone had thrown it away in our apartment. It was in good condition, so I brought it inside so I could have something to sleep on. Before that, I slept on the floor. I would bundle my covers together to try to get comfortable, but it never worked. Every morning, I woke up with body aches. Mom had a bed, but she would never buy me one. She said it would be a waste of money.
“Hey, sorry I slept so late. I normally wake up earlier than this,” I said
“Don’t worry about it. It’s the weekend, and I slept in too. Ethan woke me up and told me to come and wake you up so he could take you to get your belongings. He wanted to come and get you himself, but he was worried you wouldn’t like that,” Ella said.
“Oh,” Was all I could say.
“I am going to take a shower, and you can get ready too, then we will leave. I brought you some clothes that you can change into,” Ella said and pointed to the blue sundress she had put on the bed.
“Okay, thank you,” I replied,
“You don’t have to thank me, Sof. I am so happy you are here, and so is everyone else,” Ella said, and then she left the room.
I got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to shower. I took the clothes that Ella had brought me into the bathroom as well. While I was
showering. I couldn’t stop thinking about Ethan and how weird he had been acting. To be honest, I was happy he was being nice to me and wasn’t ignoring me anymore, but he was also confusing me.
Chapter 11
Last night, we had dinner in the dining hall, which was on the first floor. Ella said anyone who lives in the house can eat down there. Everyone’s floor has its own kitchen, where they can make their own food if they want, but everyone normally eats breakfast and dinner together in the dining hall.
When we got down there, everyone was staring at me as I walked to the table where Ella’s parents and Ethan were sitting. Ehtan shocked me by getting out of his seat and pulling the chair that was next to him out so that I could sit. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I sat on the chair.
When the lady came to ask us what we woudl like to eat, Ethan asked me what I would like first before he ordered his food. Once we had ordered, everyone at the table started talking. Ethan was talking to me, telling me how happy he was that I decided to stay in the house with them. He was being so nice toward me, and it was a bit overwhelming. It didn’t help that everyone in the room kept staring at us. I didn’t miss the way Jane glared at me all through dinner.
I was so happy when dinner was over that I went to my room to think. I knew I couldn’t let Ethan get to me. I had to stay away from him. I knew he was only acting like that because his parents told him to be nice to me and that it wouldn’t last. He would go back to not caring about me. So, last night, I made up my mind that I would avoid him as much as I could. I already had feelings for him, and I couldn’t let them grow because if I did, I knew I would only get hurt in the end.
