Chapter 16
Sofia’s Point of View
After Ethan left, I started putting my stuff away. I still couldn’t believe I was going to go out to eat with Ethan. I couldn’t stop thinking about what it was he wanted to tell me. I was worried about how Ella would feel about me going out with her brother. I guess it wasn’t a date or anything, so she most likely wouldn’t mind. While I was putting my clothes in the dresser, there was a knock at my door. I opened it to see Ella standing
there with a smile on her face.
“Hey, what are you doing? Ella asked
“Just putting my stuff up,” I replied
“I came to see if you wanted to go for a walk. I wanted to show you the place,” Ella said
“Sure,” I replied. I grabbed a sweater and closed and locked the door.
“This is one of the fitness rooms. We have four of them. Two are for
people with reservations. They are mostly for those that are training,” Ella
said
“Training for what?” I asked

“Um, I mean for the security team to training,” Ella said
“Oh,” I replied. I remembered the people that were guarding the gate. I guess they had a special place to stay in shape.
“Anyway, this one is for anyone who just wants to exercise,” Ella said. I just shook my head. It wasn’t like I was going to go in there to exercise. The most I ever did for exercise was walk.
Ella and I walked around for about an hour. Everyone’s eyes were on me as we walked past them. I tried to ignore them and listen to what Ella was telling me. The floors were assigned to different families. I learned that Janes and her family lived on the fifth floor, which was under the floor where we were. Every floor had its own kitchen for them to cook in if they wanted to, but everyone could go to the dining hall if they wanted to like. we did the night before. There were three game rooms, a computer room, a library, and a nursery for the little kids who weren’t in school yet or for
those who needed someone to watch them after school. There was even a
clinic where the people who lived there were treated for minor illnesses or
injuries.
We went outside, and she showed me the basketball court, tennis court,
and swimming pool. There was a park with three playgrounds where children were playing.
We headed back to the mansion/ castle, which I liked to call it, so that I could get ready for dinner.
“Are you sure you are okay with me going out to dinner with Ethan? He is your brother, and I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable or anything.” I

said as we were walking back to the house.
“I am fine, trust me. If anything, I am happy Ethan is finally coming to his senses,” Ella said
“Are you sure?” I asked
“Yes, I am sure. I am actually happy Ethan finally asked you out on a date,” Ella replied, which shocked me, so I stopped walking. Ella stopped walking as well and looked at me with a concerned look on her face. “Are you okay, Sof?” Ella asked
“Yeah, I am fine, but I am shocked that you thought we were going on a date. Ethan just asked because he wanted to talk to me. It isn’t a date,” I
said
“Okay, if you say so, Sof. Come on, Let’s get you home so that you can get ready for your da… I mean, talk,” Ella said, and we started walking again.
I started hearing two guys arguing as we were walking. I knew they went to our school because I had seen them before, “What is going on?” I asked
“You are so stupid. You really believe that girl loves you. She is only using you, Chace,” I hear one of the guys say
“I don’t know,” Ella said, confused. “Hey, you two,” Ella said, and then they looked at us. The one whose name I knew was Chace looked at me
and smiled.

“Chace, no,” the other guys said, but then something crazy happened. One
minute, Chace was a human, and then the next, he had turned into a giant wolf. That wasn’t the only thing. The other guy and Ella had also changed into giant wolves, and they jumped on Chace.
I did the only thing I could think of doing. I started to scream as I ran to the mansion. When I got there, I bumped into someone and fell to the ground. I looked up to see it was Jane. She looked upset that I had bumped into her, but before she could say anything, Tammie and Eric walked over
to us.
“Sofia, what’s wrong.” Tammie asked
“Ella turned into a huge black wolf.”
