Sofia’s Point of View
“Why did Chace want to hurt me?” I asked. It was obvious he was going to attack me, but why would he want to harm me? I had never done anything
to him. I didn’t even know him.
“We are not sure why he wanted to hurt you. That is what we are trying to find out now. We have him in a cell in our Pack Jail, so you don’t have to worry about him,” Eric said. Then I thought about something that the other guy had said that was with Chace before he turned into a werewolf.
“I think the guy that was with Chace before he turned knows why he wanted to hurt me. Before they turned, he said something about a girl only using him. Maybe some female wanted him to hurt me,” I said
“You are right. I forgot about that after what happened,” Ella said
“I am going to go and talk to Daniel. He is already in an interrogation room,” Ethan said
“That sounds like a good idea,” Eric said
“I think it would be a good idea for Sof and Ella to come to our suit until
we figure out who Daniel was talking about,” Tammie said

“I think that is a good idea too,” Ethan replied and then he looked at me. “I will see you later, Sof,” Ethan said and then he walked out of the room.
“Come on girls,” Tammie said and Ella and I followed her to her suit.
Ethan’s Point of View
“Have you talked to Daniel yet?” I asked Ryan
“Yes, I have but he won’t tell me anything. He said he won’t speak to anyone but Sofia,” Ryan said
“There is no way I am going to let him speak to Sofia,” I said. I know Ella told me that Daniel helped her when Chace was trying to hurt Sofia but I wasn’t going to risk him hurting her. Daniel and Chace were very close.
“I already told Ryan that I wouldn’t talk to anyone but your mate,” Daniel said, I walked into the interrogation where he was sitting at a table.
“That isn’t going to happen, Daniel,” I said and sat across from him at the table. “I need you to tell me why Chace wanted to harm my mate and your
future Luna,” I said
“I won’t tell you. I will only tell my future Luna,” Daniel said
“And why is that?” I asked
“Because I am afraid you won’t believe me when I tell you who put Chace up to killing her,” Daniel said and I couldn’t help the growl that left my mouth. No one was going to hurt my mate.
“I need you to tell me who put him up to hurting her. I know it was a female. Is she from my Pack?” I asked and he stayed silent, causing me to growl again from frustration. “I need you to tell me now,” I said but he stayed silent. I was getting so upset that I decided I needed to get out of the room for a moment.
“You will tell me one way or another,” I said and walked out of the room. My dad was standing by the door when I walked out.
“Did he say anything?” My dad asked
“No. He said he won’t talk to nobody but Sofia. He said he doesn’t think I will believe him when he tells me who put Chace up to trying to kill Sofia,” I replied
“Maybe you should let her speak to him,” My dad said and I looked at him with a shocked expression.
“What if he hurts her?” I asked
“I don’t think he will hurt her. If he wanted to hurt her he wouldn’t have helped Ella. I think he is scared becaue whoever it was that told Chance to hurt Sofia must be close to you,” My dad replied. I knew he was right. That was the only thing that made sense. Whoever put Chace up to this must be someone I am close too. I knew it wasn’t Ella. She loved Sofia like a sister. I growled when I thought about who it might be.
“Jane,” I said
“I thought that too but we don’t know that for sure,” My dad said
“Who else would have done it? It had to have been her,” I said
“We can’t go accusing someone if we aren’t for sure,” My dad said.
“Okay, I am going to talk to Chace,” I said
“You know he isn’t to tell you anything,” My dad said
“He will if I make him,” I replied, and we headed to Chace’s cell.

I walked into the cell to see Chace chained to the wall. He looked weak from the wolfsbane that was injected into him.
“I don’t care what you do to me. I am not going to tell you anything,” Chace said weakly.
“We will see about that. I am only going to give you one chance to answer me, Chace. Who put you up to harming my mate and your future, Luna?” I asked, and he stayed silent. I walked over to the table and picked up a knife, and then I walked over to where Chace was. “I told you I was only giving you one chance,” I said, and I used the knife to cut off his index finger, causing me to scream in pain. “Now, I am going to ask you again. Who told you to harm my mate.”
I didn’t care how long it was going to take to get the truth out of him, even
