“You are bringing all of this upon yourself. All you have to do is tell me who told you to hurt my mate. I know it was a woman. Tell me who it was,” I said. It had been over an hour and Chace still refused to tell me who told him to hurt Sofia. I had already cut off all of his fingers and were
working on his toes.
“I will never tell you. I don’t care what you do to me,” Chace said, and I
cut off another one of his toes, and he screamed in pain.
“Who was it? Who told you to hurt your future, Luna?” I asked.
“No matter what you do, I won’t tell you, and just she will never be my Luna. She is a weak, Wolfless, bitch that doesn’t deserve to be a Luna.,”
Chace said, and I growled and punched him in his face.
“Watch how you speak about my mate,” I said
“I wish I would have succeeded in killing the wolfless bitch,” Chace said and I lost it. My claws started to grow, and I tore through his throat, tearing his head from his body. There was blood everywhere.
“Clean this mess up,” I said to the guard as I walked out of the cell

“Yes, Alpha,” The guard said. I made my way to the interrogation room where Daniel was. I had had enough. Either Daniel was going to answer my questions, or he was going to end up just like Chace. I opened the door and was shocked at what I saw. Daniel was lying on the door dead. It looked like someone had torn his heart from his body.
“What the fuck happened? Who came in here,” I asked as the guard
walked over to me
“I don’t know what happened. He was fine a moment ago when I checked on him. No one has been in this room since you left earlier,” the guard
said.
I decided to go to the security room to check out the footage. “I need to see
the security footage of over the last two hours,” I said and I walked over to the camera. I was shocked when we went through the recording to see nothing but darkness. What the fuck happened?” I growled
“It seems someone tampered with the camera. We don’t have any footage from over five hours.” one of the men who was supposed to be watching the cameras said.
“And how could this have happened? You were supposed to be watching to make sure the cameras were working properly. You obviously haven’t been doing your job. You are no longer a part of the security team, and you will be punished,” I said. Because of him, Daniel was killed, and the person who had planned all of this was still out there.
I knew I had to figure out who killed Daniel. I was sure they did it so he wouldn’t tell me who wanted Sofia dead. I decided to contact Witch

Tabatha. She was the strongest Witch we had in our Pack. She was an elder lady around sixty and was mated to my grandfather’s Gamma,
Jeffrey.
I mind–linked Jeffrey telling him what had happened and that I needed Tabatha’s help to track who did this. He told me that he and Tabatha would be here shortly. I also called some of the trackers to see if they could pick up anyone’s scent.
“I am sorry but the only scents we are picking up are yours and the guards.
No one else has been in this room,” one of the trackers said
“Keep trying. Someone else had to be in this room,” I replied
Jeffrey and Tabatha showed up around thirty minutes later. “Have you found anything yet?” Jeffrey asked
“No, none of the trackers have picked up any suspicious scent. It was like
no one was here but me and the guards. I don’t understand how that is possible,” I replied
“I know why they can’t pick up any other scent. I can sense evil magic, a lot of evil magic. Whoever was here is very powerful and evil. They must be an evil witch,” Tabatha said
“Why would an evil witch want to kill Jeffrey?” I asked
“I don’t know but from what you told me about Chace and how he went after your mate. Maybe they didn’t want Jeffrey to tell him who was

“Who would want my mate killed?” I asked
“I don’t know, but you are going to be Alpha King soon. You know there are some that want to weaken you and your father. They know if they get rid of your mate, that is the best way of doing that,” Tabatha said
“I knew she was right. My father had a lot of enemies. Some that wanted to take over as King. It was possible that one of them would go after Sofia to weaken me. But what I didn’t understand was why Chace would help them. He was a part of this pack as well. Also, who is the woman Daniel was speaking about that put Chace up to it? There were so many questions that I didn’t have the answers to.
All I knew was that I had to find out who was responsible and make them pay. No one was going to get away with hurting my mate.
