Chapter 21
Sofia’s Point of View
I looked at Ethan’s eyes and was shocked that he was checking me out. I couldn’t help the blush that came on my face. Ethan’s eyes met mine, and he smiled. “You look so beautiful, Sof,” Ethan said.
“Thank you. So do you. I mean, you don’t look beautiful because you are a guy. I mean you look nice,” I said and Ethan chuckled
“Thank you, Sof. Are you ready to go?” Ethan asked.
“Yeah,” I grabbed my purse, and we left after saying goodbye to Ella. Ethan placed his hand in mine, causing me to feel those pleasurable sparks I only felt when we touched. I wondered if he felt then as well..
Ethan opened the passenger side door for me and I thanked him before. getting inside. Ethan walked over to the driver’s side and got in. He started the car and drove off
“So, um, where are we going?” I asked
“I am taking you to Texas Steakhouse,” Ethan said, shocking me.
“But they are very expensive,” I replied. I had always wanted to go there, but I couldn’t afford it.
Chapter 21
“I want to f
you, Sof. Besides, you know I can afford it,” Ethan said.
“That isn’t the point,” I said a little harshly. “I am sorry. I didn’t mean for it. to come out like that. I just don’t want you spending a lot of money on me,” I said
“It’s not too much money, Sof. I want to take you there, okay?” Ethan said.
“Okay,” I replied. I knew he wasn’t going to change his mind, so there was no reason to argue about it. After about twenty minutes of driving, we arrived at the restaurant.
Ethan parked in front of the restaurant and gave his key to the Valet to park the car. Ethan took my hand and we walked into the restaurant together. There was a female at the front desk that I had seen at school. before. She was one of Jane’s friends.
“Hello, Alpha Ethan. Your table is ready. Please follow me,” she said. before picking up two menus and walking toward the dining area. Ethan and I followed after her. She took us to a private room where the lights. were dim. There was a table with two chairs in the middle of the room.
Ethan and I sat across from each other at the table, and the woman, I now remember her name is Kelly, put a menu in front of both of us. “Your waitress will be here shortly,” Kelly said
“Thanks, Kelly,” Ethans said, and she left the room.
“This is nice,” I said as I looked around the room.
“I thought it would be best for us to speak in private.” Ethan said
“Okay, what did you want to tell me?” I asked.
The door opened before Ethan could answer, and another girl I knew went to school with us had walked inside. I knew her name immediately, Mandy. She wasn’t one of Jane’s friends, but Mandy was another girl I knew didn’t like me. She didn’t bully me like Jane did, but she made it clear that she didn’t like that she didn’t like me. After Ethan stopped speaking to me freshman year she told me I didn’t belong at the school and that it would be best if I just left. She never spoke to me again, but I saw the way she would hang around Ethan. I knew she liked him because she would always flirt with him.
“Hello, Alpha. Do you know what you would like to order, or do you need time?” Mandy asked as she placed a glass of water in front of Ethan and me. Her eyes were on Ethan the entire time.
“Sof, do you know what you would like?” Ethan asked, and Mandy looked at me for the first time,
“Um, I will have a sweet tea to drink,” I said.
“And what would you like to cat?” Mandy said with a fake smile on her face.
“I will have a Ribeye steak, Medium Well, with a Caesar salad and Sweet Potato as the sides,” I replied
“I will have a coke and a Ribeye as well,” Ethan replied
Chapter 21
“Okay, I will be back with your drinks and put your order in with the cook,” Mandy said, and she left.
“So, you had something you wanted to tell me?” I asked after a moment of silence, and Ethan sighed.
“Yeah, but first, how are you feeling after finding out my family and I are
werewolves?” Ethan asked
“Honestly, I feel fine. It is crazy because you would think I would be scared of you, but I am not,” I said, and Ethan smiled.
“That’s good. There is something I need to tell you. You see, every werewolf has a mate, soulmate if you would like to call it. They are the one person they are meant to spend the rest of their lives with. We can sense who our mate is on our eighteenth birthday,” Ethan said as he looked at me. I could feel my heart beating fast. He wasn’t going to tell me what I thought he was going to tell me, was he? I had read werewolf novels and knew what a mate was.
“Have you found yours?” I asked and he nodded
“And do you mind telling me who it is?” I asked and he shocked me with what he said
“You, Sofia: You are my Mate.”
