Sofia’s Point of View
“So what would you like to eat?” Ethan asked once we left the orphanage
“I am fine with anything. Look, there’s a Denny’s. We can go there,” I replied as I pointed to the restaurant.
“Okay.” Ethan said and he pulled into the parking lot. We got out of the car and headed inside.
“Hello, Alpha, Luna,” a woman that looked to be in her forties said. It was still weird to me that everyone called me their Luna.
“Hello,” Ethan replied. The lady grabbed two menus and took us to one of the booths in the corner. “Your waiter will be with you shortly.”
“Thanks,” Ethan said. The woman bowed and then she walked
away.
“Thank you for coming to dinner with me, Sof. You have no idea how happy I am you decided to come,” Ethan said
“It’s nothing.” I replied
A girl that went to school with us came and took our order. I didn’t like the way she kept looking at Ethan. I could tell she wanted him.
Chapter 20
“What’s wrong?” Ethan asked after the girl walked away.
“Nothing,” I said
“It doesn’t seem like nothing, Sof. I can you are upset about something. Please, tell me. I don’t like seeing you upset,” Ethan said as he put his hand on mine making me feel those pleasurable sparks. I didn’t say anything.I didn’t know how to tell him that I was upset that our waitress. was flirting with him.
“I am back with some water, Alpha Ethan,” The girls said causing Ethan and I to look at her. She had unbuttoned the top button of her uniform shirt making it where he could see her red bra. She placed a glass by the both of us and leaned close to him so that her breast were close to his face as she poured water in his glass. Her eyes were on him as she poured the
water.
“I hope you enjoy it, Alpha,” She said and then she turned to me and I thought she was about to pour water in my glass but instead she tripped and all the water that was in the jug spilled on me, causing me to jump.
“Oh my Goddess. I am so sorry. I didn’t mean for that to happen,” the waitress said. I knew she wasn’t sorry. I knew she had done it on purpose. She even had a smirk on her face when she did it. I didn’t have time for any of her games so I just looked at Ethan.
“I am ready to go,” I said and I walked out of the restaurant. I could hear Ethan calling my name but I ignored him and kept walking.
I tried to open the door to Ethan’s car but it was locked. It was cold outside
and I was shaking. I was so upset that that girl would poll!

I didn’t want to be apart of petty drama. All of this was making me wonder if things like this would always happen to me if I decided to be with Ethan. Would females play tricks on me or even worse, try to hurt me because I was the one that was Ethan’s mate. I was only human and they were werewolves. They were way stronger than I was.
“Sofia, why did you leave the restaurant?” Ethan asked and I turned and looked at him. I couldn’t believe he was asking me why I walked out of the restaurant after that girl poured pitcher of water on me. “Oh, Goddess. you are shaking like a leaf.” Ethan said and he unlocked the car door and opened the passenger side door for me. I got in without hesitation.
Ethan walked to the driver’s side and got inside. “Are you okay?” Ethan
asked me.
“Yeah,” I replied and Ethan sighed.
“I know you are upset about what happened in there and you have every right to be. I want you to know that she will be punished for what she did
to you.” Ethan said
“So, you know she poured the water on me on purpose?” I asked
“Yes, I know she did that on purpose and she is going to be punished. I am sorry that happened, Sof.” Ethan said

“It’s not your fault but I have been wondering how many others will do
things like this to me if we get together. I wonder how many will try to do worse than she did, like harm me,” I said and he growled
“No one will every harm you. If they tried they would pay severely. I would never let anyone lay a hand on you, Sof. You are my mate and I love you.” Ethan grolwed. His eyes were pitch black and somehow I knew
his wolf was at the surface.
“Ethan.” I said worriedly. I wasn’t sure if he was still there with me. Ethan closed his eyes and when he opend them they were back to their normal. blue.
“I am sorry. Sof. I got upset when you said someone might harm you. I hope I didn’t scare you. My wolf and I would never hurt you,” Ethan said
“I know you would never hurt me,” I said truthful. For some reason I knew he would never hurt me but I wasn’t sure about anyone else.
“How about we go home and get you changed and then we can get something to eat in the dining hall,” Ehtan said.
“Okay,” I replied and Ethan started the car. As we were leaving the parking lot I saw a huge guy holding onto the girls arm that poured water
I wondered where he was taking her and what punishment Ethan
on me.
