Chapter 32
Ethan’s Point of View
“I am sorry, Alpha Eric, but I am here because there has been an accusation made on you and your son,” West said
“What accusation?” I asked.
“That you have been mistreating Beta Kane’s daughter, Jane because you found your mate,” West said.
“That is not true. My father and I have never mistreated Jane or anyone else. Who told you that?” I asked angrily
“Someone called us anonymously and told us that you have been mistreating Beta Kane’s daughter because you found your mate. They said. that you dated Jane before meeting your mate, and your mate didn’t like that, so you have been mistreating Jane to make your mate happy,” West
said
“That is ridiculous,” I said.
“Then why were you interrogating her?” West asked
“Because we suspect that she had one of the pack members go after my
mate. Also, my mate’s bedroom was destroyed today,” I said

“Is there any evidence that Jane is the one that did all of the things you have just accused her of, or do you just think she did it,” West asked. I was about to answer him, but my dad let out a loud growl, causing West
and I to look at him.
“THAT IS ENOUGH,” my dad said. I knew West was scared by my father’s voice. “I am the Alpha King, and you have no right coming here and questioning me or my son. You might be a part of the werewolf council but don’t forget who is in charge here. Remember your place,” My dad growled in a commanding tone, making West fall to his knees.
“I am so sorry, My king. I didn’t mean to overstep. I was only doing my job. Your great–great–grandfather assigned the werewolf council to make sure no one was mistreated in any pack,” West said as he kept his head. low, not daring to look my father in the eye. My great–great–grandfather is the one who created the werewolf council. They were supposed to make sure everyone was treated fairly in every pack, no matter what their ranking.
“That is true. The werewolf council was created to make sure every pack member was treated fairly. The council is here to help me do investigations, and just like you said, my family is the one that hired you. You work for me. Not the other way around. How dare you try and accuse me or my son of mistreating anyone? Like I told you before. I am the one in charge here. I rule over all of the werewolves, not the werewolf council, and if I wanted to, I could take your title away. I could dismember the council. You know what? Maybe I should get rid of the council. All of you have forgotten who is in charge here. You went about this in the wrong way,” My dad growled.
“I am so sorry, My King. Please don’t destroy the council. We were just

worried that someone was being mistreated in the werewolf kingdom.” West replied, his head still low.
“Instead of coming here uninvited and walking in on me while I was interrogating a member of the royal pack. You should have called and let me know what was going on.” My dad said
“I know, and I am sorry for overstepping.” West said, and my dad sighed.
“I don’t have time for this. My son and I need to finish interrogating the she-wolf that we believe tried to have the future Luna queen killed, I am not letting this go.” My dad said, and he turned to walk away, but West spoke.
“I know you are upset with me. My King, but how about you let me watch you interrogate the she–wolf? That way, when I go back to the werewolf council headquarters, I can tell them whoever told us you were mistreating the Beta’s daughter was wrong.” West said, causing my dad to laugh.
“No.” was all my dad said before he walked away. I knew the council was going to be taken care of. My father was the king, and no one questioned him. A second later, I saw two warriors coming over to West.
“It is time for you to go.” One of the warriors said, and they started dragging him out of the jail. I was sure my dad had mind–linked them and told them to throw West out of the pack. I started walking back to where Jane was, but I was shocked when I heard my father scream.
“WHERE THE FUCK DID SHE GO?”

I ran into the room to find it was empty.
“How is this possible? She couldn’t have gotten out of the room without us seeing her.” I said, and then I frowned when I realized what was going on. “She must be working with the evil witch.”
