Chapter 37
Sofia’s Point of View
“Are you okay, Sof?” Ella asked me. We were sitting in the back of an Escalade Limo while one of the guards drove us back to the castle.
I had been quiet the entire ride back to the castle. I couldn’t stop wondering how my mom and Tammie knew each other. I never would have thought my mom would have known about werewolves.
“I am fine,” I said as I looked out the window. Once we got back to the castle, I saw Ethan waiting for us. Once I got out of the car, he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly.
“I heard about what happened. Are you okay?” Ethan asked.
“Yes, I am fine,” I replied, but I could tell by his facial expression that he knew I was lying. We walked into the castle and went to Tammie and Eric’s room. When we got there, Eric was sitting on the couch in the living
room.
“We need to talk,” Tammie said as she looked at me. Everyone went into the living room and sat down. Tammie sat next to Eric, and I sat between Ethan and Ella.
“I know you are wondering how I know your mom.” Tammie asked, and I nodded.
“Yeah, I was wondering how she knew you and how she knew about werewolves,” I said
“Your mom and I grew up together. You see, your mom and I are from the same Pack. The Wolf Fang Pack,” Tammic said.
“Wait, my mom is from a Pack? Does that mean she is a werewolf?” I asked
“No, she is not a werewolf. She is a witch,” Tammie said, shocking me.
“My mom is a witch?” I asked
“Yes. When your mom was a baby, she was found at the border of the Wolf Fang Pack by some trackers. They brought her back to the packhouse, and Alpha Thomas and Luna Mandy took her in and raised her as their own. They had a son, Don, who was two years older than her. They loved your mother just as much as they loved Don. They did everything for her. They spoiled her and never told her that she wasn’t their real daughter,” Tammie said.
I was shocked because when I asked her about my grandparents when I was little, she told me that they were dead. She had lied to me. I wish I could say I was shocked, but I wasn’t.
“Your mom and I were best friends. I was the Beta’s daughter, and your mom and I grew up together,” Tammie said, then she took a deep breath before speaking again. “When your mother turned thirteen, she got into it with one of the girls from school. Your mom got so mad, and her anger caused her to use her magic for the first time. She ended up throwing the
girl into the wall without touching her. Once she got home, her parents. told her that she was adopted. They had no idea she was a witch until that day. Your mom didn’t take it well at first, but a few months later, she seemed to be doing well to everyone, but I knew she wasn’t doing as good as she wanted everyone to believe,” Tammie said and paused for a moment. Everyone stayed silent, waiting for her to continue.
“Your mom told me that she was in love with Don. I was shocked because I thought she saw him as a brother. They were raised as brothers and sisters. She even told me that she believed he would be her mate. I didn’t think too much of it. I thought it might be a little crush, and she would get over it. When we got to our junior year of high school, Don found his mate. Stacy. He had graduated two years earlier. Everyone was happy for him except for your mom. I didn’t know it, but your mom started practicing spells, and she had come across a love spell. One night, she put the potion in Don’s drink, and they were intimate. When a mate cheats, their mate feels terrible pain. The next morning, Don was shocked when he woke up and was in bed with Tina. He always saw her as his sister and nothing more, and he would never cheat on his mate. He ended up going to the pack doctor, and that was how he found out your mom drugged him, Tammie said
I couldn’t believe my mom would do something like that to someone. Actually, I couldn’t believe it. I mean, my mom had always been selfish and only thought about herself.
“What happened after that?” I asked
“Don was furious. He confronted her and told her that he never wanted to see her again. Alpha Thomas and Luna Mandy were also upset. They couldn’t believe Tina would do something like that. They told her how

disappointed in her and then left her alone in her room. I went to check on her, and she told me to get out, so I did. The next day, she was gone. No one could find her. Alpha Thomas and Luna Mandy blame themselves for her leaving. They still love her and see her as their daughter,” Tammie
said
“Everything my mom did was terrible. I asked my mom about my grandparents, and she told me they were dead. It makes me wonder if she lied to me about my father as well,” I said
“There is one more thing I need to tell you, and I don’t know how you are going to take it,” Tammie said, and I looked at her. “I think Don is your
father.”
