Chapter 45
Sofia’s Point of View
“I woke up feeling safer than I ever had before. I was warm and felt pleasurable tingles all over my body. I opened my eyes to see I was lying on top of Ethan. The covers were over both of us, and he had his arms wrapped protectively around my body. I tried to get off of him, but his hold around me tightened.
“Where do you think you are going, Love?” Ethan asked. I tried lifting myself to look at him, but his hold was stopping me. Ethan realized what I was trying to do, and his hold on me loosened so I could look at him. When our eyes met, he had a smile on his face, and my heart melted.
“I am waiting for an answer, Love,” Ethan said
“I need to go to the bathroom,” I replied.
“Okay, but don’t be long. I like having you in my arms.” Ethan said, and he let go of me so that I could get up. I headed to the bathroom. Once I was in the bathroom, I took a deep breath to calm my rising heart. I used the bathroom and washed off my face. There was a new toothbrush by the sink, so I opened it and brushed my teeth. I combed out my messy hair, and once I was done, I went back into the room.
“There you are, Love. Come lay with me,” Ethan said, and I got in bed with him. Ethan pulled me to him so that I was laying on him again.

“What are you doing?” I asked
“I liked the way you slept on top of me last night,” Ethan said
“What? I am sure you were uncomfortable with me on you. I am sure I was heavy,” I said and laughed.
“You are not heavy, Love, and yes, I did like you sleeping on me. I am sure that will be the way you sleep most of the time. You seemed to be really comfortable lying on me,” Ethan said, and I couldn’t help the blush that came to my face. Ethan brought his hand to my face and caressed my check softly.
“I love the way you blush. You are so beautiful,” Ethan said, making my cheeks turn even redder. “Oh, you have no idea how much I love you,” Ethan said, and he kissed the top of my head. His words made my heart melt. I loved it when he told me he loved me. I loved him too, but I was too nervous to tell him.
I looked at the clock to see it was almost two. I couldn’t believe I had slept. that long, but I guess I did stay up all night. Just then, my stomach started to growl, and Ethan chuckled. “We should get up and get dressed and then get some food,” Ethan said.
“Okay,” I said. Ethan let me go, and we both got up from the bed. “You can take a shower in here, and I will use another bathroom. How do you feel about going out to get some food?” Ethan asked
“That sounds good,” I said

“Great, and I was thinking after that we could go pick out
other things for our floor. That way, we can move in there,” Ethan said
“Okay,” I replied. Ethan kissed my lips softly before walking out of the room. I went to the closet and pulled out one of the bags with clothes in it that I had gotten when I went with Ella and Tammie to the mall. I picked out a light blue sundress and headed to the bathroom to shower. Once I was done showering, I brushed my teeth again and combed my hair out. I decided to leave my hair loose so that it would hang. I looked at myself in the mirror and then went back to Ethan’s room to see he was sitting on the couch talking on the phone. I went to the closet and decided to wear some black sandals that Ella had picked out for me the day before.
“You look beautiful, Love,” Ethan said after ending the call.
“Thank you,” I replied with a smile
“You ready to go get some food?” Ethan asked
“Yes,” I replied, and we walked out of his room. We made it outside to his car, and Ethan opened the passenger side door for me. I thanked him and got inside. Ethan walked over to the driver’s side and got in. We put on our seatbelts, and Ethan started to drive.
‘Are you serious,” I laughed.
“Yes, I am serious,” Ethan replied. We decided to go out for burgers and shakes. We were sitting in the restaurant, eating and talking.
“I can’t believe you would fill the pool with bubbles. I am sure your
parents were upset,” I replied
“Yes, they were. There were bubbles everywhere. It didn’t help that there were Alphas from different packs visiting the castle. I was grounded for a month,” Ethan said, and I laughed.
“You deserved it after what you did,” I said
“I know, but I was only ten, and Ryan dared me to do it,” Ethan said, and then he looked at me. “There is something I need to ask you,” Ethan said, and I waited for him to continue. “My dad got ahold of Don, and Don wants to meet you,” Ethan said
“He doesn’t?” I asked
“Yeah, he asked if he could come to the castle this weekend, and my dad told him that he was going to ask if you were okay with that. If you are not ready to meet him, you don’t have to. We will wait until you are ready,” Ethan said. I thought about it for a moment and decided the sooner I met my birth father, the better.
“I am okay with him coming this weekend,” I said
“Are you sure?” Ethan asked, and I nodded.
“Yeah, I might as well meet him now. The longer I wait, the longer I will worry about how he is going to react to me,” I replied
“Okay, I will tell my dad to invite him to the castle.”
