Chapter 48
Sofia’s Point of View
“Okay, I think we have everything you need,” Tammie said.
“Um, I think we got too much stuff,” I said as I looked at two full carts. Ella was pushing one, and Ethan was pushing the other. Tammie took us to every section of Walmart. The carts were filled with kitchen supplies, bathroom supplies, Personal supplies, and cleaning supplies. She made sure we had plenty of wash clothes and towels along with pots, pans, and dishes.
“Oh, you can never have too many things, Sweetheart,” Tammie said.
“How about we check out and then grab dinner before we go home? We still have time before the furniture is supposed to be delivered,” Ethan said
“Sounds good to me,” Ella said
“Yeah, I am going to link your father to see if he can meet us for dinner,” Tammie said, and we headed to the line to checkout. Once we headed to the car, put the bags in the trunk, and left to get dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant, Eric was already inside. Tammie ran into Eric’s arms, and he hugged her tightly. I smiled, seeing how much they were in love even after all the years they had spent together. It made me happy thinking Ethan and I could be like them one day.
Chapter
Ethan put his arm over my shoulder as the waitress showed us to our
table. We ordered our food, and then the waitress left us alone.
“So, Ethan told me that you are okay with Don coming here this weekend,” Eric said.
“Yes, I think the sooner I meet him, the better,” I replied
“I want to make sure you are sure. Don said he was going to bring his parents, mate, and kids. Are you sure you are ready to meet all of them? If not, then I will tell him only he can come,” Eric said.
“I am okay with them all coming. I would have to meet them eventually anyway,” I said
“Okay, then I will let him know it’s okay to bring everyone with him. He said he would be here Saturday around noon.” Eric said. Ethan put his hand on mine, and I looked over at him and saw him smiling at me. We ate our dinner while having small talk, and then we left.
When we arrived at the Packhouse, the delivery drivers were just pulling in. Tammie, Ella, and I went to Ehtan and my floor while Ethan, Eric, and some of the other pack members helped them bring the furniture to our floor. Some of the pack members helped us put the furniture where we wanted it to go. They would ask me where I wanted it, and I would tell them. After all of the big things were put in the right place, we thanked everyone, and they left.
“I think we have done enough today. We have school tomorrow, and we should go to bed,” Ethan said after I put the last cup up.
Chapter A
“Okay,” I replied, and we walked to our bedroom. I took a shower in our bathroom while Ethan used one of the other bathrooms. Once I was done showering, I put on one of Ethan’s t–shirts and shorts, brushed my teeth, and combed my hair. Then I went back into the bedroom. Ethan was sitting on the bed with only a pair of shorts. I couldn’t help but look at his masculine chest. When our eyes connected, I could see that Ethan was smirking, and I couldn’t help but blush.
“There is no reason for you to blush, Love. I am yours, and you can stare at me any time you want. Besides, you aren’t the only one who stares. I check you out all the time,” Ethan said, and I know my cheeks have become even redder. “Come on, let’s go to bed,” Ethan said as he pulled the covers out of the way. Ethan and I got into the bed, and he put the covers over us. I lay my head on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around me like he had the night before in his old room.
“This bed is comfortable,” I said, and Ethan laughed.
“Yes, it is.” Ethan replied. A few moments later, I fell asleep listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat. I knew then that I would never be able to sleep without him besides me.
Alpha Don’s Point of View (Sofia’s Birth Father)
I couldn’t believe what King Eric had told me. I had a daughter. I was so pissed that Tina didn’t tell me. I had every right to know I had a daughter, and she kept it a secret. Tina had done so many terrible things, but this was the worst. I knew I had to tell my family what I had just learned. First, I needed to tell my mate Stacy. I walked into my room and to the kitchen, where I saw my beautiful mate baking. She looked at me and smiled.
Chapter 45
“Hey, what smells so good?” I asked
“I am cooking cookies for the kids in the orphanage,” Stacy said. I walked over to her and hugged her tightly.
“I need to talk to you about something important,” I said, and we walked over to the table. Stacy sat there silently, waiting for me to speak. “King Eric called me and told me some shocking news,” I said
“What did he tell you?” Stacy said, and I took a deep breath before replying. I knew I needed just to tell her.
“I have a daughter,” I said, and she looked at me with a surprised expression that turned to anger.
“What do have a daughter? Don’t tell me you cheated on
You mean you me,” Stacy said. I could feel in the mate bond that she was sad.
“No, I didn’t cheat on you, Baby. If I did, you would have felt it,” I said, remembering how much pain she was in when Tina drugged me and had her way with me.
“Tina, you remember what she did to me. Well, it turns out she became pregnant,” I said
“What?” Stacy said
“Yeah, she had a daughter and kept it a secret from me and my parents. King Don called and told me that her name is Sofia, and she is mated with his son,” I said. Stacy stayed silent. I was sure she was shocked at what I
had just told her.
“I can’t believe this,” Stacy said
“Look, baby. I know you might be upset about this whole situation, but this isn’t Sof’s fault. I want to meet her, but I will understand if you are not ready to meet her.” I said, and Stacy punched me in the shoulder, shocking
- me.
“I can’t believe you would think I wouldn’t want to meet your daughter. I can’t believe you would think I would blame her for what Tina did. She is an innocent,” Stacy said
I am sorry. I just thought…” I started to say, but she cut me off
“You just thought that I would hold a grudge against an innocent girl. Look. I might not be her birth mother, but she is your daughter, and I will treat her just like I treat our sons. You should already know that,” Stacie said, and I hugged her tightly.
“I love you so much, and I am sorry for thinking you wouldn’t want to meet her.” I said
“Yeah, well, you should be sorry,” Stacy said, and then we pulled from the hug. “So when do we meet her?” Stacy asked
“On Saturday,” I said
“Okay, we have to tell our sons and your parents,” Stacy said
“I know. We will tell them tomorrow morning,” I replied. I don’t know why I doubted Stacy. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She was so loving and cared for everyone. Sometimes, I would thank the Goddess for blessing me with such a perfect mate. I knew I didn’t deserve her. I only hoped that our kids and my parents would take the news as well as she did
