“Jonah, I want to group with Benson,” Layla spoke up.
Everyone stared at Layla in shock. They wondered why she would give up grouping with Sally, who had the best sills in their team, to group up with Benson, who had the worst skills.
Jonah was shocked as well. Was Layla having the hots for Benson?
“Layla, both you and Benson are new employees, so it wouldn’t be suitable,” Jonah explained.
Benson was surprised. He had only chatted for a bit with her yesterday, and he clearly had the worst skills out of all of them.
Was she trying to get them both fired by grouping with him?
Laylathen refuted, “There aren’t any tricks for newbies like us, so how’d you know whether we’d be able to close a deal or not?”
Jonah looked at the rest of the employees and gulped nervously. “About that.. I’ll have to ask for permission first.”
“Why do you have to ask permission from your supervisor for such a small matter?” Layla pressed on. She repeated, “I’ll group with Benson, Jonah. You can fortelt our salary for this month if we don’t show any results.”
When he heard that, Benson’s eyes widened “Layla, don’t-
Even if Layla didn’t need her salary, Benson needed it as he was dirt poor.
“Be quiet.” She glared at Benson. Though Benson had yet to finish his words, he dared not speak anymore.
Jonah still refused and said, “You’re both not familiar with the work procedures yet.”
At that moment, Tiffany spoke up, “Jonah, what’s your relationship with Layla? She just wants to group with Benson, so why don’t you let her be? Unless… you don’t like it because she’s grouping with a man?”
Her ambiguous words provoked everyone else’s suspicions.
She didn’t know how Layla got the job, but she could tell that Jonah was going the extra mile to take care of Layla.
“Don’t be ridiculous! Since Layla wants to group up with Benson so badly, just have it your way then,” Jonah said.
Layla looked at Tiffany and smiled in secret. She’d have to thank Tiffany for doing her a favor even without meaning to
After the meeting ended, Layla went to find Sally and said, “Thanks for teaching me and looking out for me yesterday. It’s not because I don’t like you that I’m not grouping with you. I just have other means.”
“Don’t worry. It’s just your preference. But Benson’s a newbie, so he wouldn’t lasow much. You can look for me whenever you have a question,” Sally offered generously
Layla thanked her and turned to find Benson, who lowered his head and sighed. “Should I just resign now and not waste my time here? I should edit my resubmit it
Layla shrugged and said, “Sure. I bet you wouldn’t get accepted into Murray Group anyway.”

Benson then said, “We either have no experience or only know how to serve the customers with refreshments. I think you should have a backup plan as well. Layla sat up and said, “Benson, teach me how to contact the clients.”
In the office, Jonah, trembling, contacted Stephen. He then reported the situation and said, “Mr. Yates, Ms. Murray wouldn’t budge and kept insisting to group with Benson today.”
Stephen leaned against the chair and moved about a little. “Did she request it?
“Yes,” Jonals said. He was afraid of offending Stephen but even more so of offending Layla
Stephen replied, “I got it.”
With Layla’s temper, there was no way to go about it besides going head–to–head, she wouldn’t stop if he wouldn’t give in, causing him to massage his temples in
