Chapter 61
Layla turned away from his gaze. After all, she was the one who had stolen his tie
She couldn’t buy a stranger a new tie since that would be too comantic. Hence, she had stolen her husband’s tie
“Go to work. And don’t spend your time at work talking all day!
Layla looked at him, surprised. She hummed in response and opened the door. After she got out of the car, she walked toward the sales oftice.
Benson had sharp eyes. He saw the car that Layla had gotten out of and asked, “Did your husband send you to world?”
“Do you have a problem with that?”
Benson asked slyly, “Was that a Rolls–Royce?”
Layla glazed at him and walked straight in
Benson chased after her. “Fuck me. What does your husband do? Are you his sugar baby? Did he kick you out or something?”
“shut up! If you say one more word of nonsense, I’ll change groups,” Layla wamed loudly.
The people around them turned to look at them.
Benson fell silent. However, he continued to make his own conjectures. After all, with Layla’s face, no man would be able to resist providing for her.
Whenever Layla looked at the tie around Benson’s neck, she felt like she was indebted to Stephien.
A few customers came in during the morning, so Layla and Benson attended to them. As Layla leamed the ropes at work, she became more confident when she talked
“What’s the surface area of the floor? How much greenery is there? How big are the public restrooms?”
Benson held up a pamphlet and began explaining. Layla stood next to him, asking him questions periodically
When Jonah saw them working, he reported it to Stephen
“So, they’re not talking anymore?”
“No, they’re not. Ms. Murray is working very diligently today.”
Stephen smiled. “Not bad.”
When Robert called, Layla rejected the call to focus on her work. She was that committed
“We’re opening up prepaid offers for our houses, Ms. Tyson. If you’re interested in buying one of them, you can pay a deposit, and you’ll be given priority in choosing a house
“It’ll be much cheaper than its original price too. If you’re unhappy with the house that you end up with, we can refund the whole deposit back to you,” Benson
said.
“WELL
l you really refund the whole amount to me?”
Sensing Clara Tyson’s hesitation, Layla remembered something that Sally had taught her the day before.
“Don’t worry, Ms. Tyson. We’ll return the money back to you if you’re unhappy with the house. Murray Group is the investor for Lumina Company, so you can rest
“Is Murray Group the company handled by Stephen Yates? Or is it a different company with the same name?” Clara asked.
Benson nodded excitedly. “It’s the one handled by Stephen Yates. I came here to work precisely because he’s the one investing in this. You don’t need to worry about that, Ms. Tyson”
“Well, I feel relieved then. I’m sure I won’t end up with a subpar house
Layla pursed her lips and said nothing.
Soon after, Benson drew up the agreement excitedly. This was his first sale in ten days.
However, he accidentally wrote the wrong clause in the agreement because of how excited he was. Layla then gave him another agreement to work with.
Sally was afraid that they’d mess up, so she walked over to check on their work.
When it was time for the customer to pay, Layla realized that she didn’t know how to operate the card payment machine. After all, she had only known how to use a card as a consumer previously.
Finally, with Sally’s help, she successfully bagged the sale.
Benson was in excited that he wanted to leap for joy, “I can finally see my salary for the month,”
“Now you just have to wait for the deal to be confirmed.” Then, Sally praised, “Not bad. The two of you have made our first sale of the day. Keep it up.”
