Chapter 3
Angela stood in the square in front of Gem and gazed at the familiar building
She straightened up and swore silently, “Mom, I’m back! I’m gonna take back everything that belongs to us?”
Then she walked down the red carpet, heading towards the reception desk of Gem.
The red carpet, flower baskets, balloons, and greeting words were all prepared for Anthea. Angela wondered how Kimberly would feel if she found out who Anthea really was
Thinking of that, she could not help sneering.
“Why are you here? How dare you come back?”
Kimberly stopped Angela while waiting outside for Anthra

“Theard that Gem is about to go bankrupt because of your incompetence. I’m here to save it, and it has nothing to do with you.
As Angela spoke, she raised her chin slightly and looked down at Kimberly, her eyes filled with contempt and sarcasm.
She was a little taller than Kimberly, which made her more formidable.
Hearing that Angela claimed to be Anthes, Kimberly couldn’t help sneering in anger.
“My dear sister,” she deliberately stressed the word “dear“, “I know that you and your dead mother are both jewelry designers, but you need to understand that Anthea is an old lady from another country!
“You’re just a butle–known designer in Darsonas trying to pretend to be Antheal What a joke!” she said in a sarcastic tone.
Hearing that, the employees from administration began to gossip.
“So this is Miss Simpson’s sister! I heard that she once slept with an old man for money.”
“She’s not Miss Simpson’s sister at all. She’s just an illegitimate daughter, which even made the headlines back then.”
“She’s beautiful with a perfect body. No wonder she could get that man into bed!”
“How dare she come back? Look at her eyes. She’s clearly not a decent person”
“Unscrupulous people never care what others think of them. I think she fits this description perfectly”

Their voices were not low, so Angela and Kimberly could hear clearly them.

“But since we’re family. I’m still willing to give you a chance. You can provide evidence that you’re Anthea or just get out of here immediately!” Kimberly spoke confidently with a disdainful look on her face,
The people working in adminstration watched from the sidelines and eagerly took the chance to suck up to Kimberly.
“Yeah, show us the evidence.”
“That’s too good for such a shameless woman. She can’t leave before groveling through the office like a dog.”
“Groveling through the office? The floor will get dirty!”
Angela cast a cold glance at those employees
They sensed a shiver down their spine and instinctively closed their mouths.

But they soon realized that Angela was just Kimberly’s nominal sister.
And it was very kind of Kimberly to call this legitimate daughter her sister!
Thinking of that, the employees were no longer afraid and began to speak again.
“Don’t look at us that way! Give us evidence!”
“Well, she’s an imposter. She isn’t even the eldest daughter of the Simpson family. What evidence could she possibly provide?”
Angela ignored their remarks, looked at Kimberly, and asked calmly. “Have you seen Anthea and her works before?”
Kimberly had never heard of Anthea, let alone seen her works
If Pierre hadn’t invited Anthea to Gem, she wouldn’t have searched for information about Anthea and found out that there was such a great designer in the jewelry industry,
For one thing, Kimberly wasn’t interested in the jewelry industry. For another, Anthea was mysterious and low–key. Even Pierre had never laid eyes on her before.
It was said that he had taken so much trouble to convince Anthea to agree through his connections.
But no one knew that Kimberly never saw Anthea or her works.
Kimberly feigned a disappointed look, grabbed Angela by the arm, and said earnestly, “Although I have never seen Miss Cullen, I talked to her on the phone.
“She’s an amiable, low–key, and humerous old lady.
“I know that you’ve had a hard time outside these years. If you need money, just tell me. You don’t have to pretend to be Miss Cullen. She is the gold medalist of the Watervana Jewelry Design Competition.
Angela shook off Kimberly’s hand disgustedly.
And then Kimberly fell to the ground!
Angela looked at Kimberly in surprise. She didn’t exert much strength, but Kimberly fell for no reason
Suddenly, a cold male voice came from behind Angela. “What’s going on“”
Upon hearing it, she was aware of Kimberly’s intentions!
The duplicitous woman had resorted to every possible method to defame her.
She turned around and saw a tall man walking over
He wore a high–end, custom–made black silk shirt and straight black trousers, which were impeccably ironed. His handsome face was as cold as ice, causing the surrounding people to shiver in fear.

The man walking in front looked at Angela icily, his gaze tinged with curiosity.
Angela was call and slim with a fair complexion and a beautiful, pure face.
Her attractive
eyes, wilery and attractive, penetrated him and invoked in him a sense of inexplicable familiarity.
Seeing Pierre’s intense gaze at Angela, Kimberly hurriedly stood in front of her and explained coyly, “Don’t blame my sister, Pierre. She didn’t push me I lost my balance and fell”
Angela stood aside and laughed to herself, thinking Kimberly was indeed a scheming woman by setting her up with just a few words.
Pierre demanded in a frigid voice, “Apologizel
But before Angela could speak, Kimberly held Pierre’s arm and persuaded him.
“Let it go. Pierre. My sister has been away from home for many years and had a hard time. If she can feel better, it doesn’t matter

His face darkened a little more.
He did not love Kimberly, but in his eyes, she was so kind and tolerant that she still considered an illegitimate daughter who had been away from home for many years to be her own sister.
He wanted to protect this good woman.
Pierre stared at Angela Simpson and said coldly. “Don’t seek sympathy with your suffering. What you did brought all this unto you.”
Angela jerked her head up and shot a glare at Pierre, her eyes full of hatred and pride.
She said to Kimberly in the same cold to
tone, “Did you hear that, Miss Simpson? You must bear the consequences for the choices you’ve made.”
Hearing Angela’s words, Kimberly grew worried, wondering if she had recognized Pierre.
Kimberly thought to herself, “No, she must leave, whether she is Anthea or not.”
She moved closer to Pierre as if she had been wronged and said, “Angela, you shouldn’t have pretended to be Miss Cullen. If you need money, you. can tell me. I have always regarded you as my sister.”
“You haven’t seen Anthea before, have you, Miss Simpson? Why are you so sure that I’m an imposter?”
Angela folded her arms over her chest and looked at Kimberly calmly.
“Anthea is a famous jewelry designer invited here by Pierre. Do you think we will believe you if you claim to be her? What if someone else comes here later and says she is Anthea! You should at least provide evidence, right?”
