Chapter 41
The man with glasses smiled as he said, “You have lived up to your reputation,
The two glasses of wine in their hands lightly touched.
Mr. Louise.”
Beside them, Hank was shocked. He had no clue that the man with glasses came from such a distinguished family.
In fact, Hank had done some investigating on the man with glasses before their meeting as Mr. Louise had agreed to come.
He realized that the man with glasses was 29 years old, known as Ronald Tinsley. He was a partner at one of the world’s top international law firms, Fame. He secured a dual PhD in law and economics and was esteemed as one of the world’s top lawyers.
He learned that those who came from better families and were more successful than him were still hustling hard!
What a crushing culture of overwork!
As they continued to drink and chat, Ronald and Pierre discussed a small collaboration project.
Pierre asked smoothly. “What made you decide to open a branch in Tervais instead of Dusone?
Ronald’s gaze deepened, and he replied with a smile, “Tervals and Dusone are both the most economically developed cities in Darsonas, We are running parallel operations in both cities”
Just then, the door to the private room was knocked on. Before they could even respond, the door swung open.
Timothy, with a flattering expression, poked his head out behind Kimberly.
“Pierre. Timothy was determined to raise his glass to you. I couldn’t stop him no matter how hard I tried. You don’t mind, do you?”
Kimberly, with adoration in her eyes, gazed at Pierre and said sweetly.
Any man would love this look of hers, right?
Ronald watched them playfully. Rumors had it that Mr. Louise had no interest in women, but Ronald had only met him twice and had seen him with two different women.
It was intriguing.
Timothy still holding the glass, started to flatter Pierre.
“Mr. Louise, it’s a joy to have you here! I am honored to share a drink with you. It’s truly the highlight of my
Timothy wracked his brains, trying to use all the complimentary words he knew on Pierre,
Ronald smiled at Pierre.
He didn’t know who this brown–noser was, but he did know that Pierre was unmarried and supposedly had a woman by his side.
Perhaps the woman in front of him was the one.
He looked at the woman, and his pupils suddenly shrank.
What did he see?
Ronald blinked in shock and peered at the woman’s neck.
There was a stunning ruby
uby necklace dangling there. The ruby was like a red rose on her neck, sparkling brightly under the light.
The workmanship of the gold chain was exquisite and unique.
He recognized that this was the necklace he was searching for! He didn’t expect to come across this necklace as soon as he reached Tervais
How could this woman wear such a valuable gemstone necklace so casually?
Ronald couldn’t believe his eyes and squinted to get a better look at the woman’s face. She must be the woman whom Pierre was rumored to be
It seemed that the relationship between the Tinsley family and the Louise family ran deep indeed.
Kimberly could feel the gaze of Ronald on her, which made her feel pleased…

Chapter 41
She straightened her back and sucked in her stomach, adopting the demeanor of a refined lady.
“Pierre, is thus your friend? I don’t quite recognize him”
Kimberly crooned, throwing a seductive glance at Ronald.
He wasn’t as handsome as Pierre and his black glasses aged him a bit, but his face had a crisp outline and a deep gaze that captivated the beholder.
Nonetheless, anyone who could sit at the same table with Pierre and enjoy a meal was either a wealthy tycoon or a powerful figure. Either way, it would be fortunate to network with him
Ronald stood up and introduced himself. Im Ronald
May I know your name, missy?”
Kimberly quickly replied with a sweet smile. “Hello, Mr. Tinsley. I’m Kimberly Simpson. This restaurant is owned by my uncle. This is my cousin. Timothy Hardy. Nice to meet you.”
Ronald nodded politely, but he couldn’t help but wonder if Kimberly was truly
truly the pers
person he was looking for.
Timothy hastily poured himself a glass of wine and said politely to Ronald, “Mr. Tinsley, It’s a pleasure to meet you!”
His attitude was noticeably less respectful than before. Meanwhile, Pierre remained aloof, tapping his fingers lightly on the table.
Kimberly knew that this was Pierre’s way of showing impatience, so she quickly pulled Timothy, who wanted to cozy up to Pierre, away and left
After finishing their meal and discussing business matters, Pierre and Ronald left the restaurant together.
The first thing Ronald said to his assistant, Shirley Stappord, was, “Shirley, thoroughly investigate the background of Pierre’s girlfriend, Kimberly
Although Shirley was puzzled, he immediately agreed.
Shirley quickly opened his laptop and began typing on the keyboard with his slender fingers.
As soon as they arrived at their hotel, some basic information about Kimberly was sent to Ronald’s email,
Ronald quickly scanned the information and continued, “Find more. Her family, her maternal family, and several generations above them.”
Shirley was speechless.
The boss was obsessed with uncovering every detail of Kimberly’s past. Kimberly should cross her tingers and pray!
But now Shirley was the one who was screwed. He had to drag himself back to the room and work his butt off for hours, because he had to Kimberly’s lineage to the dawn of time.
This was a massive undertaking, shit!
Ronald returned to his room and opened his laptop. He clicked on a folder full of old photos. He zoomed in on unmistakable red ruby necklace around Kimberly’s neck.
one
of them and saw the
trace
Even though the photos on the computer were old and faded, he recognized it instantly. The necklace had the family crest that was impossible to
copy.
Could this crude woman really be the one his boss had been searching for?
He sighed and opened another folder.
Pierre seldom came back to the Louise Mansion, but today he did.
Was it just a coincidence that he had run into Angela and Charlie today? According to Hank, the woman had brought the kid and another guy to the
restaurant for dinner.
He felt like he needed to have a word with Wilfred about his kids.
Pierre wasn’t surprised when Wilfred told him bluntly that he was going to take in the grandkids and clear their mother out. It wasn’t the first time something like this happened in the Louise family.
But Pierre refused and gave Wilfred two choices.
Either sake them in, as Angela couldn’t do much harm, even if she was a witch.
Or turn them away and act like nothing happened.
Wilfred wasn’t happy with the second option.
Chapter 41
He didn’t care that his two sweet grandkids didn’t share the Louise name, but he couldn’t stand the thought of losing them. It would shatter his. heart. No way!
So he had no choice but to agree to the first option.
Well, the Louise family was rich enough, so he could think of it as supporting one more person.
But he felt like he was losing a great son for such a woman.
“Pierre, do you want to marry Angela?” Wilfred asked with a bitter tone.
“She’s not worthy. Pierre answered coldly.
This cunning woman had already tried to hurt Kimberly several times. The two little ones with her must have suffered too
Wilfred understood his plan.
“What about Kimberly?”
“Dad, I want to leave Gem. She
take Π shares as compensation
Wilfred nodded. “Alright. I heard that the girl from the Burke family is coming back to Darsonas next month. You two grew up together, so be good to her, even though you’ll feel sorry for her.”
Pierre felt a pang of regret, but he kept silent.
Upour
Wilfred kept talking. “Since you’ve made up your mind, you should bring the kids back to the mansion as soon as possible. I’ll also let y grandparents know”
