Chapter 101
Jessie was no match for Wesley.
Steven freed one hand, pulling her behind him. Then he grabbed a popcorn from the bucket and flicked it. The popcorn shot out, smacking at Wesley’s face with a loud pop.
Wesley cried out in pain, hands covering his face.
“Pathetic,” Steven remarked. Under the watchful eyes of many, Wesley let out a yelp after being hit by a popcorn. He lost all his dignity right then.
Ignoring the pain on his face, Wesley launched another attack.
Steven flicked another piece of popcorn, this time striking Wesley’s knee.
Wesley crumpled to one knee. The next kernel hit his other knee.
Wesley ended up kneeling in front of Steven. Both knees now throbbed in intense pain, making it impossible for him to stand up.
“If you can’t beat me, it’s okay. I’m not going to kill you, so there’s no need for this grand gesture,” Steven said.
“B*stard!”
Wesley raged as a hostess rushed to help him up.
“Get lost!”
Wesley shoved her away and slowly stood up. He finally realized the man in front of him was highly skilled and was far superior in ability.
“How dare you humiliate me in public? You’re dead! I won’t let you off!” Wesley snarled through gritted teeth.
Steven calmly took another piece of popcorn, making Wesley flinch and stumble back.
But Steven didn’t advance and instead popped the popcorn into his mouth.
“Leave now. Or do you want a few more popcorn?” Steven asked flatly.
Wesley paled as he spat out a threat, “You’ll pay for this! Don’t be a coward and run away!” He then slunk away.
The onlookers erupted in murmurs.
“Master Collins‘ son got beaten?”
“Who is that guy? He’s got some nerve! He’s doomed for sure for offending Master Collins!”
Everyone looked at Steven.
“Let’s go. The movie is about to start,” Steven said to Jessie.
“Mr. Lewis, maybe we shouldn’t. Wesley won’t let this go. What if Master Collins shows up?” Jessie looked worried.
“Then let him come. I’m not afraid.”
Kai was a fifth–grade master and higher ranked than Steven, but Steven wasn’t intimidated.
He had the Double Pupil Technique, Legendary Dragon Strike, and the Thundering Fury Method. He welcomed the chance to cross paths with a fifth–grade master.
“You’re full of hot air.”
“He’s so arrogant and shows off with no shame in front of a beautiful woman.”
The people in the cinema immediately scoffed upon hearing Steven.
The four grandmasters were absolute authorities in Levix City and were deeply revered. Although Steven had made a name for himself in the upper circles, he hadn’t risen to fame in Levix City.
“Mr. Lewis, that’s a fifth–grade master. We should leave.” Jessie urged, not believing Steven could defeat a fifth–grade master like Kai. She pulled him to leave the cinema.
“Mr. Lewis, I’m so sorry. I didn’t expect to encounter Wesley here and have such an unpleasant experience,” Jessie quickly apologized.
Steven shook his head. “It’s fine.”
“But you don’t have to worry. I’ll call my dad right away to have him talk to Master Collins. I think Master Collins will give him that respect.” “Well… Actually, there’s no need.”
“Since it’s because of me, I can’t ignore it.” Jessie stepped aside to call Kennedy and explain the situation.
