Chapter 109
The text message was simple. “If you run into any trouble, I can help.”
Yasmine hesitated, then tried to call Steven, but hung up before it went through.
David was a big shot in the Levix City underworld and wielded considerable influence in the area. He owned Joy Club as well as underground casinos and loansharking operations. With dozens of men under his command, he was not someone to mess with.
Yasmine didn’t want to put Steven in danger, so she decided to face this alone.
She opened the door and went out.
David, holding a glass of red wine, asked, “Aren’t you changing clothes after your shower?”
“Sorry, Mr. Wells, but I’ve got my period. I can’t accompany you tonight. How about another day?”
“Really or are you lying?” David said, half–doubting her.
“It’s true. I don’t know why it came two days early. I just noticed after showering.”
“I don’t believe you. Let me see,” David said with a wicked grin.
Yasmine was startled and quickly said, “I’m telling the truth, I wouldn’t dare lie to you. Sooner or later I will be yours anyway. It need not be tonight.”
“I was just kidding.” David chuckled and said, “Why are you so tense?
“Yasmine, I like you and respect you. I would never force you. Come, sit with me for a while. Have a drink. My driver will take you home after.”
Yasmine declined. “No need to trouble you. I didn’t bring any sanitary pads. I need to get back quickly.”
“Only one drink. Is that too much to ask?” David frowned slightly, squinting his eyes.
Yasmine had no choice but to sit down and accept the glass of wine.
“I won’t make things difficult for you. Have a couple of sips with me before you leave,” David said, raising his glass.
They clinked glasses, and Yasmine took two sips of red wine before getting up. “Mr. Wells, I should go now.”
“Go ahead.” David waved his hand.
Yasmine did not expect him to be so agreeable and was relieved. But after a few steps, she felt dizzy. The room spun around her, nearly causing her to fall. David came over and steadied her. “You’re already drunk after two sips?”
“I’m fine, I’ll go now.”
Yasmine realized something was wrong and tried to leave, but David grabbed her.
“Leaving? You’re in my room now. Where do you think you’re going? I knew you’d try to pull something so I spiked your drink.”
David no longer hid his wicked smile. Yasmine’s face turned pale. She tried pushing him away but felt utterly weak and limp.
“Don’t bother. This drug will make you dizzy first, then completely powerless. After a while, you’ll feel hot all over. Then, you’ll become incredibly wanton, begging me to sleep with you.”
David said, lifting Yasmine effortlessly and carrying her into the bedroom.
“Mr. Wells, please let me go. I’m on my period, you can’t do this.” Yasmine pleaded weakly, struggling futilely.
“Do you think I’m stupid? What excuse haven’t I heard? Even if you’re on your period, you’re not getting away today.” David leered, placing her on the bed.
“Let’s see if you’re telling the truth.” David reached to remove Yasmine’s pants.
Yasmine weakly squirmed on the bed, her resistance futile against her dwindling strength.
David ripped the jeans right off her.
