Chapter 114
Jace’s gaze shifted to Steven. “This guy here is also my classmate, Steven Lewis. He’s got quite a background.”
“Oh? What’s impressive? Do tell,” Gerald asked.
“He used to be the vice president at Stellar Group, the scion of the Lewis family. He was a big shot at school. But what a pity. His parents died in a car accident over two years ago. This wastrel couldn’t manage the company at all. Eventually, the company was taken over by Marrie.
“He degraded himself through gambling and drugs. A good for nothing! Though his appearance today seems respectable enough.”
Jace then shamelessly guffawed loudly.
“I thought he was a big deal, but it’s not worth mentioning. I don’t care about the current Stellar Group, let alone a has–been scion. You’re not worth my time or attention.”
Gerald lit a cigarette and crossed his legs. “However, I am quite interested in Marrie from Stellar Group. This woman is top–notch. Just imagine having sex with her gets me excited.”
Gerald showed a lecherous expression, evidently lusting after Marrie.
“Mr. Wright, Marrie is over 30, isn’t she a bit old? I prefer younger ones. Now, Marrie’s daughter, Yanny, is on another level,” Damian, the man sitting beside Gerald remarked.
“You don’t understand. For women like Marrie, that’s precisely the prime age. Like fine wine, they need to age to reach rich, mellow complexity that lingers.” Gerald expounded, unaware of the subtle hostility in Steven’s eyes.
“Mr. Wright, this guy is one of Marrie’s conquered foes. If you want her, maybe you can use him.” Jace tried to please Gerald by proposing a rotten idea.
“Oh? So you’re Marrie’s lackey. Brat, I’ll give you a chance to please me. Steal a couple of Marrie’s clothes for me. I’ll take you under my wing and have your back in the future.” Gerald schemed.
Steven chuckled. “How coincidental, I’m also interested in your mom’s clothes. Go steal some for me, it’s your chance to please me.”
Gerald instantly erupted in fury and stood up. “How dare you talk to me like that? Who the hell do you think you are!”
Jace inwardly gloated, seeing Steven foolishly provoke Gerald.
He had invited Noel over with malicious intent.
Jace knew Noel was close to Steven and how Noel had defended Steven in the group chat yesterday. Jace saw a chance to humiliate Noel and teach him a lesson. Steven unexpectedly followed, presenting Jace with the perfect chance to strike two birds with one stone.
“And who do you think you are, talking to me like that?” Steven retorted.
“Wow! Good! It’s been too long since I’ve met someone as arrogant and ignorant as you. Today, I’ll make sure you’ll be carried out of here.”
Gerald seethed with rage.
“Mr. Wright, calm down. This is his arrogant way, I can’t stand it either. Dealing with him is simple, watch me,” Jace interjected.
“Fine, show me. But we cannot let him off easy today,” Gerald said, filled with murderous intent.
Jace looked disdainfully at Steven. “Steven, oh Steven, you’re still as arrogant as ever. But you no longer have the right to be. If Mr. Wright wants you dead, you won’t live to see tomorrow.”
Steven smiled calmly. “Whether I live past tomorrow has nothing to do with a lapdog like you.
