Chapter 117
Terrified by the scene, Yara hid behind Steven.
The bodyguard swung his bat toward Noel. Even though Noel went to the gym occasionally and learned some self–defense, he was no match for the Joy Club bodyguards. He wouldn’t stand a chance against one bodyguard, let alone eight.
Seeing this, Steven swiftly pulled Noel back and kicked the bodyguard into the wall.
Jace shouted, “Get him! Get him!”
The other bodyguards rushed toward them. Even though Steven was unarmed, he was an agile fighter. The bodyguards couldn’t lay a hand on him. Steven effortlessly incapacitated the bodyguards and broke their joints.
In less than a minute, all eight bodyguards were injured, moaning on the ground.
Gerald and Jace were stunned with a grim face. The madam and hostesses were astonished as well.
“Damn! Steven… You’re that good?” Noel was shocked and impressed.
Steven grinned at him and said, “That’s why I told you to go ahead and attack me just now. You couldn’t hurt me anyway.”
“If you told me how good you were at fighting, I wouldn’t have been so worried.” Noel was relieved that he didn’t betray Steven and come at him.
Panicking, Gerald told the madam, “Get more people and call Adam over!” Given Steven’s excellent fighting abilities, he wouldn’t stand a chance against Steven if Steven attacked him.
The madam snapped out of her daze and quickly took out her phone to make a call.
Adam was the head of security overseeing Joy Club. He was the top fighter under David.
Noel immediately warned Steven after hearing it, “We need to go. Adam’s formidable. People said he was a sixth–grade expert and ruthless!”
Steven chuckled. “Just a sixth–grade expert. Don’t worry.”
Gerald’s face darkened as he said, “You’re so arrogant! Let me make this clear–nobody can protect you if you mess with me. Don’t overestimate yourself just because you know a few moves. You should know your place.”
“You’re the one who should know your place. Forget about the head of security in Joy Club. Even if David were here, I wouldn’t be afraid.”
Meanwhile, David had already been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
Gerald sneered in frustration, “Fine! We’ll see your fate later!”
Jace joined in the mockery. “Steven, I underestimated you. You’ve picked up some fighting skills in the past two years. But what’s the point? You can’t beat us. You’re nothing to us.”
“Bullshit!” Steven moved in a flash and suddenly appeared in front of Jace. Jace couldn’t even see how he got there and was startled.
“Slap!”
Steven slapped him across the face, sending him spinning around. Jace saw stars, and his nose bled.
Gerald yelled with fake confidence, “Stop it!”
Steven glanced at him and then appeared in front of him.
“Smack!”
Gerald also received a slap. His head buzzed, and his face burned.
“Don’t… don’t come any closer!” Damian held a wine bottle defensively, but his voice lacked conviction.
Steven said calmly, “I’m a fair person. One slap for each of you. No one loses out.”
