Chapter 32 Kill Time
Valerie was in a bad mood because Jordan hadn’t accompanied her. With an unpleasant tone, she complained during her treatment.
“Elsa, I’ve had another relapse since you last treated me. Didn’t you say my condition would Improve gradually with your treatment?”
The doctor responded bluntly, “I can treat the poison in your body, but I can’t cure your mind. I made it clear during the treatment that you needed to stay calm and avoid overthinking. So, Ms. Patterson, did you manage to do that?”
Valerie blushed at the doctor’s directness but quickly regained her composure. “I’m a normal woman,” she replied matter–of–factly. “Isn’t it natural for me to think about those things?”
“If you can’t do that, Ms. Patterson, then I don’t see any point in continuing this treatment!”
“Don’t think you’re the only one who can treat my poison. Plenty of others are more skilled than you. If you can’t do it, just admit it. Why make excuses? Valerie scoffed, her voice dripping with disdain. “Let me tell you, my man is powerful and influential. If you can’t cure me, you’ll regret it. Ahhhh!”
With a determined grip, Sabrina plunged the silver needle deep into Valerie’s acupoint, causing her face to contort in pain and turn pale. A slight smile played on berlips as she watched Valerie’s reaction
“Ms. Patterson, try to bear with it.”
Valerie eventually tainted from the pain. Sabrina calmly removed the needle, disinfected it, and put it back in her tool kit. She then got up and left.
After learning that the miracle doctor had left and noticing that Valerie hadn’t come out for a long time, Adrian went in to check on her. He found her lying there, pale and lifeless,
“Adrian, Elsa left a message. Ms. Patterson is running a high fever, but she should stay home and continue taking her herbal remedies. This is normal, and she’ll Likely wake up on her own within an hour. Please don’t worry.”
“Sabrina, Troy just called me. He said there’s a vacancy for a doctor in their department and asked if you’re interested in trying it out.”
“Sure, It’ll give me something to do in the meantime.”
Having been a full–time housewife, Sabrina was suddenly unsure what to do with herself, and she didn’t want to return to the days of living on the edge. She had grown accustomed to a peaceful life and had no desire to go back
“What about me?” Zayn asked.
“Aren’t you talking about starting a
ga company? Now’s your perfect opportunity. It you need more money, just let me know!”
Zayn’s ultimate goal was to take over Golden Corporation. He dreamed of forcing his bullies to experience the horrors of homelessness and starvation. He wanted to see them fall from grace and suffer the consequences of their actions.
She called Troy and told him she agreed to work at the hospital.
Troy’s face lit up with joy as he said, “I’ve already spoken with the hospital director, I told him you’re my junior and an extraordinary medical talent,”
“Troy, I’m just going to hang out and experience what it’s like to work a 9–to–5 job.”
“I know this is beneath you, given your capabilities. Rest assured, your compensation will be generous, including a high salary, full social security, extra allowances, and no overtime.”
“So, the hospital director agreed?”
“Yeah. With my charm, how could the director refuse? But there’s a condition. You have to make me proud and show the director that you’re a one–in–a–million talent!”
“Fine. I won’t let you down.”
“We have a deal then, You can’t go back on your word, so I’ll come pick you up tomorrow.” Was he worried that Sabrina would run away?
Sabrina chuckled. “I’ll drive myself there.”
The next day, Sabrina reported to the hospital at 8:00 am. She became Troy’s direct subordinate and was even qualified to assist him in the operating room!
In the neurosurgery department, everyone was very interested in the beautiful woman who had just arrived. A new inter blushed involuntarily when he met het cold, starry eyes
Ignoring him, she walked calmly in front of everyone and said gracefully, “Hello everyone, my name is Sabrina. I hope we can all get along well,”
