Chapter 33 Taking Up a Position
Everyone took tums Introducing themselves. Once they all lew each other’s names, Troy dismissed them to continue worlding.
“From now on, you’ll be sharing an office with me!”
Sabrina crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. “What? Are you planning to keep staring at me?***
“How dare I? I’d be lucky just to wait on you hand and foot.” Then, changing the subject, he asked, “Have you heard from Edmund lately?”
“No. We haven’t heard from him in years. The old man is always wandering around and never brings his phone with him. Unless he reaches out to us, we have no idea where he is.” Sabrina had gotten used to it over the years.
Noticing Troy’s slight frown, as though he were deep in thought, she asked casually, “Is there something you need to talk to Edmund about?”
“Yes. I have a friend who was disfigured in an accident and has been deeply depressed ever since. If someone hadn’t been watching over my friend constantly, I’m afraid my friend might have attempted suicide.
“I remember Edmund once developing a rejuvenation cream that could regenerate skin. I was hoping he might be able to help.”
Since Edmund refused skin grafts and plastic surgery had too many side effects, this was Troy’s only hope.
Sabrina scoffed. “You actually believe that?”
Troy’s frown deepened. “How could it be fake? I saw Edmund restore that person’s disfigured and scarred face with my own eyes.” How could he have seen it if it weren’t true?
“Sabrina, you’re Edmund’s only direct disciple, and he taught you everything he knew. So, about the rejuvenation cream

Troy’s eyes lit up immediately, and he quickly poured her a glass of water
“Sabrina, could you please help me? That person is really important to me!!
Sabrina guessed, “Is that person a woman?”
“Yeah,” Troy nodded.
“A woman you’re interested in?”
“Well…”
“I never knew t
that you were such a hopeless romantic, Troy.”
“Stop teasing me. Just give me a straight answer. Yes or no,”
“I can give you the Ethereal Radiance Cream, but it’s only for superficial use. It can help with minor scars, but it won’t work on severe burns or injuries. Remember, this is just medicine, not magic.”
“How could that possibly be?” Troy muttered insistently about what he’d seen back then. “But that man was clearly cured by Edmund!
“He went up for 49 days. Do you know what he went through during that time?”
Troy shook his head and was bewildered. He only saw the result, not the process.
“Every week, he had to undergo a grueling procedure to remove and rebuild his skin and bones. This process cannot be done with anesthesia, as it would compromise the treatment. Most people can’t endure it.
“Based on what you’ve said, the woman you admite is delicate and frail, both mentally and physically. I doubt she could withstand such an ordeal. And since I’ve never undergone the procedure myself, I can’t guarantee there won’t be complications.”
It was a risky treatment. No one could say for sure if they would survive the ordeal.
Troy looked serious. He knew Sabrina had no reason to lie to him. If she admitted that the treatment was extremely risky, which meant it was incredibly dangerous. Seeing his silence, Sabrina said, “Troy, I’m a doctor, not a deity. I think you should find a psychiatrist to provide her with psychological counseling and the courage to live,”
In her opinion, there was nothing more important than staying alive. Perhaps she couldn’t put herself in the other person’s shoes and understand their pain and suffering
However, Troy didn’t want to give up, so he asked Sabrina, “If her body allows it and she has a strong will, could we try?”
