Chapter 51 Make Yourself Comfortable Mr. Ford
Meanwhile, Troy spotted jordan as well. “I’m going back to my office first.”
“Mmhm.”
With her hands in her pockets, Sabrina sported a smirk and approached Jordan. “Ms. Patterson is in the ward on the third floor, not in the neurosurgery department Mr. FordTM
“Are you alright?”
Jordan sized Sabrina up without even a hint of emotion. Meanwhile, she found it amusing to notice a hint of worry in his eyes.
“Are you worried about me, Mr. Ford?” sabrina grinned, “How did you find out? Are you keeping an eye on me because I work at the hospital?”
“We’re not divorced yet. Since we need to work together, I have to care about you. After all, you signed the divorce papers without asking for a dime. I’m worried you can’t manage on your oWEL
“My bad for making you so worried, Mr. Ford, Unfortunately, I’m going to let you down this time because I’m doing just fine.”
Jordan frowned. “When did you ever train as a doctor, Sabrina? Do you think anyone can just walk into a hospital and start working as a doctor? It something goes wrong, can you handle the consequences? Can your boyfriend really protect you?”
“That’ll be none of your business, Mr. Ford. Even if something goes south, I won’t drag you into it.” Sabrina’s pretty face looked calm. “I’m heading to work now Make yourself comfortable, Mr. Ford.”
Seeing that Sabrina was about to walk away, Jordan grabbed her by the wrist. “Do you think you can just cut ties with me if something goes wrong? You’ll end up needing me to clean up after you.
“Keep in mind that you’re still my wife in the eyes of the law. Everything you say and do impacts Ford Corporation.”
“As long as you don’t bring it up, nobody will know I’m your wife, Mr. Ford.”
Sabrina then pulled her hand away with a straight face and added with a cold demeanor, “Instead of fussing over this, you’d better spend more time caring about your significant other.”
Watching Sabrina strutted away, Jordan’s gaze darkened as he clenched his jaw. After a moment, Jordan rubbed his forehead and chuckled, as if he was puzzled with his feelings.
He had to be losing it. Why did he come over just to check on her? Before coming here, Jordan even imagined Sabrina looking so lost and helpless, waiting for him to help her out.
“Mr. Ford.” Adrian was crept out by Jordan’s laugh. “Let’s go back to the office.”
Without any hesitation, they turned and left.
In the office, Troy had already prepared a cup of coffee and handed it to Sabrina as soon as she walked in.
“What is Jordan doing here?”
“Who knows? Maybe he needs to see a doctor.”
Troy felt speechless. Sabrina just couldn’t hold back with her sarcastic jokes.
“Do you know who set this up against you?
Troy’s expression tuned solemn when be changed the subject to something serious. The perpetrator had devised a plot where Charles killed his own father. That was senously messed up.
“I have no idea.”
Sabrina nonchalantly took a sip of the coffee as if what had happened earlier didn’t bother her at all,
“If it weren’t for the camera you put in the patient’s room, we’d be in a real pickle just now. Did you really install the camera there to monitor the patient’s condition?
“What else could it be? It’s not like I can see the future or anything.”
Troy crossed his arms, “It’s not totally out of the question.”
Sabrina seemed capable of anything. She might even be an angel descended to Earth on a mission
Sabrina was amused by Troy’s response. “Stop pulling my leg, Troy.”
Right after Sabrina stopped speaking, her phone rang. She glanced at it, then got up and walked over to the window to pick up the call “Hello, Brina ”
A sweet voice came through, and Sabrina smiled in resignation. “It’s been a while, Amanda.”
