Chapter 56 I’ll Take Care of This
Sabrina was battled, “What do you inean, Mr. Ford?”
“I’m wondering how many of the things you told me are true. What if even your name
me is a lie?”
Sabrina smiled lightly and stepped closer. Running her hand over Jordan’s chiseled face, she casually remarked, “Everything I told you about myself is true.”
”
Back then, she put in a lot of effort to portray herself tragically to become the ideal wife Jordan wanted. She disguised herself as a pitiful, helpless soul who grew up in an orphanage.
Although Sabrina Tucker was her bona fide name, she only started using it when she was in Homsey. In Muglacia, she was known as Briana, but she had plenty of other identities as well.
Jordan seized Sabrina’s restless wrist and pulled her close. “So who’s Briana then?”
“That’s me too.” With a pleasant smile, Sabrina faced the situation and decided she’d better admit it. “That’s the name
I picked up
pafter I got adopted in Muglacia
With a conflicted expression, Jordan furrowed his brows. “Why haven’t you brought this up at all over the last three years?”
“You didn’t ask about it either, Mr. Ford. Also, we’re only worlding together. I thought you wouldn’t care about my background.” Sabrina pulled her hand away, her voice carrying a tinge of bittemess
“Jordan Ford”
Aloud, hearty voice rang out. The next moment, a fashionable old woman came running over and wrapped her arms around Jordan
He was caught off guard but then picked her up and spun around with her. “Long time no see, Grandma!”
Linda grunted like a child. “How can you say that? If you truly missed me, why didn’t you call me?
“I was busy.”
“How long does it take to make a phone call? You’re just toying with me, aren’t you?”
As Linda spoke, she playfully smacked Jordan’s head, just like she did when he was younger. Jordan was left speechless.
Sabrina chuckled, thinling that the only person who could smack Jordan like this in Homsey would be Linda
Noticing that Linda was looking at her, Sabrina stood up straight and gently called out, “Grandma ”
“I heard from Selena that you’ve been losing weight recently, Sabrina. Let me take a closer look”
Despite her age, Linda’s gaze was shrewd. She sized Sabrina up and amiably held Sabrina’s hand, “Thankyou for taking care of Jordan. If he ever gives you trouble, just tell me. I’ll set him straight
Before Sabrina could say anything, Jordan responded in resignation, “We should hurry back, Grandma, Mom’s still waiting for you at home.”
On their way back, Linda didn’t let go of Sabrina’s hand, asking her about everything under the sun before finally getting to the main topic.
“Now that I’m back, I don’t plan on leaving again. I want to see you and Jordan start a family. How do you feel about that?”
Sabrina subconsciously looked at Jordan, locking eyes with him. She smiled and replied, “I’m okay with it, Grandma, but it all comes down to what Jordan thinks. If be doesn’t want it, it won’t change anything even though i am happy to do so.”
After saying that, Sabrina sighed at the perfect moment, and Jordan tensed up right away.
Linda was quick to catch on and realized that the problem had to be with Jordan. They were in good health, and there should be signs of a pregnancy already. Linda gently patted Sal
I Sabrina’s hand and reassured her. “Just leave it to me. I’ll take care of this for you”
“I think we should take it slow, Grandma. Since Jordan isn’t ready, we can put it on hold.”
“Jordan can take his time, but I can’t wait forever. Sam always wanted to see you get married and have children. I’ve got to make that happen for him, or I’ll have to answer to him when I’m gone.
“If you don’t say yes, I’m jumping out of this car right now,”
Upon finishing her sentence, Linda Immediately opened the car door. She was so quick that everyone was caught off guard.
The wind came howling in. Jordan came back to his senses and leaned in to close the door, but Linda was too persistent as she held onto the door with one hand. “You better agree, or I’m jumping out of this car right now. I’m done with my life.” Linda looked resolved as if she were ready to face death
