Chapter 66 Triple the Amount
Those words were meant for Sabrina, and Valerie was also afraid that fordan would back down because Linda had fainted. If he backed down, when would she ever get her chance to secure her place and win him over?
Jordan stayed silent for a moment before saying in a deep voice, “I’ll have Adrian take you back to the hospital.”
“No. I don’t want to leave. I’m worried about Mrs. Ford Senior right now. I need to stay here and make sure she wakes up okay.”
Leaving at this moment would mean all her effort went down the drain. She needed to capitalize on her situation and push her luck
“You bitch, what are you really up to? You’ve already upset Grandma so much. What else do you want? Emily snapped.
“If something happens to Grandma because you made her so angry, I wonder how you’ll ever find peace, Jordan
“I didn’t mean for this to happen. Jordan and I are truly in love, and I’m really concerned about Mrs. Ford Senior. Just let me stay, please,” Valerie said as she
sobbed.
She lightly shook Jordan’s arm and pleaded, “Please, Jordan. I’m begging you. Please let me stay.”
jordan futtowed his brows. He hadn’t expected the usually well–behaved Valerie to act out like this today. Of course, he understood her reason. She was simply afraid that he might change his mind and not take responsibility for her.
“Do as I say and go back first. I gave you my word, and I won’t break my promise.”
Jordan’s voice was stemmer than usual, and Valerie understood that she shouldn’t push Jordan too far. If Linda were to die from anger, her chances of marrying into the Ford family would be nil
“I’ll do what you say, Jordan, but please give me a call when Mrs. Ford Senior wakes up. I’m genuinely concerned about her.”
Jordan then called Adrian to pick Valerie up. The latter was baffled and quickly reminded Jordan, “You might have forgotten, Mr. Ford. You granted me a half–day leave today, so I’m not in Homsey at the moment.”
Jordan then remembered that he had given Adrian permission to visit his family.
After ending the call, Jordan turned and said, “I’ll drive you back to the hospital.”
Sabrina stood in front of Jordan and met his deep gaze with a blank expression. “Are you really planning to talo Valerie to the hospital, Jordan? What will Grandma think if she wakes up and you’re not around?”
Moving closer, Sabrina stood on her tiptoes and whispered in Jordan’s ear, “Doing this will only make Grandma dislike Valerie even more and refuse to accept her.”
Standing behind them, Valerie watched as they suddenly got so close. She couldn’t help but tighten her grip on Jordan’s sleeve. This bitch had to be doing it on purpose.
If the situation allowed, Valerie would have pushed Sabrina away and slapped her hard a few times.
A deep look settled in Jordan’s eyes.
“It you’re okay with it, I’ll ask Zayn to take Ms. Patterson. How does that sound?”
Upon hearing that, Valerie quickly looked at Jordan. Clearly, she was against it.
Jordan gazed at Linda lying on the couch, then turned to Valerie and said, “You should return to the hospital first. I’ll come by to see you when I can.” Before Valerie could reply, Zayn dangled the car keys from his finger and grinned mischievously. “Let’s go, Ms. P
Patterson. I’ll be generous and give you a ride.” Valerie bit her lower lip. Seeing that Jordan wasn’t going to change his mind, she had to give in. “Alright then. I’ll head back to the hospital first, Joodan ” “Minhm.”
Valerie trailed behind Zayn to the pa
parking lot. Zayn opened the rear door. “Get in.”
After Valerie got into the car, Zayn started it up. “How much is Sabrina paying you? I’ll offer you three times as much. What do you say! Evenherchauffeur was good–looking. Sabrina had some serious game. She’d gotten all the handsome men on her side.
