Chapter 67 Quickly Get This Over With
Valerie’s words came across as a ridiculous joke to Zayn’s
ears
He coldly sneered with a hint of chill in his narrowed eyes.
“Do you really think I would work for just anyone? I’ve seen plenty of arrogant women like you. Only someone as blind as jordan would treat you like a gem
“What did you say?” Valerie was taken aback.
“Like I said, Jordan’s standards must be terrible if he’s interested in someone like you.”
Valerie was shocked that Zayn dared to insult Jordan as well. She was so furious that her expression contorted in anger, and her body started trembling
“Jordan and I are truly in love. Sabrina is the third wheel here. I’m simply taking back what’s mine, and that’s fair.”
“You’re so keen on defending Sabrina. Don’t tell me you two have a thing. I always wondered how she managed to stay with jordan without feeling lonely. It turns cut-”
Zayn slammed on the brakes, catching Valerie off guard. She was thrown forward by the momentum, hitting the front seat hard. Before she could catch her breath, be sped up and did it again several times.
By the time they arrived at the hospital, Valerie was pale with fear. As soon as the car came to a halt, she pushed the door open and crouched on the ground, throwing up violently.
Zayn got out of the car and leisurely lit a cigarette. Leaning against the car door nonchalantly, he looked at her with contempt. “That filthy mouth of yours must have eaten a lot of crap. A good pule will do you some good.”
With that, Zayn exhaled a puff of smoke and got back inside the car. He floored the gas pedal and drove off with flair.
“Is what Jordan said true, Sabrina? Did you two get married under an agreement?”
Emily couldn’t take the truth. After all, she wholeheartedly saw Sabrina as her sister–in–law.
“I’m sorry, but it’s all true,”
The truth was hard to swallow. Now that the cat was out of the bag, she didn’t see any point in keeping up the act.
“Jordan married me to please Grandpa. Even though it was a mutual agreement, I genuinely wanted to be part of the family all these three years. I thought things
could remain the same, but then Valerie came back.”
“I don’t like Valerie. She is obviously trouble” Emily’s eyes reddened. “As long as you don’t divorce Jordan, he’ll never be able to marry Valene, Sabrina. You’ll always be my sister–in–law.”
What a naive thing to say. Emily was still young and hadn’t experienced the hardships of marriage. She didn’t low the feeling of longing every single day, only to be disappointed time and time again.
Sabrina held Emily by her shoulders and earnestly said, “You have to face the reality, Emily. Jordan and I are over.”
Three years had been more than enough. Sabrina was done waiting for a man who would never love her. It was time e to rediscover who she used to be.
Emily suddenly cried out in the direction behind Sabrina “Jordan Ford”
When Jordan came over, he happened to catch Sabrina saying that things between them were over. A mix of emotions flashed in his eyes. He decided it was time to put an end to this
“Stay put and keep an eye on Grandma”
Emily was reluctant to comply, but under Jordan’s stem gaze, she tumed and entered the room,
“Come with me.” Before Sabrina could respond, Jordan tamed and walked out. She narrowed her eyes and trailed behind him.
Half an hour later, acar pulled up at the entrance of the courthouse. Sitting in the car, Jordan lit acigarette. As smoke filled the air, the smell made Sabrina nauseous, and she couldn’t stop herself from gagging.
“Are you feeling sick?” jordan fixed his scrutinizing gaze on Sabrina.
“I’ve been dealing with some stomach issues recently, but it’s nothing serious
jordan didn’t doubt the flimsy excuse. After all, they had only been intimate the right before. There was no way Sabrina could be pregnant in less than a day.
“Why wasn’t I aware that you had stomach problems?” Jondan furrowed his brows
“Have you ever bothered to case, Mr. Ford? Sabrina remarked with a scoff.
A hint of hätterness flickered in her eyes. “Let’s hurry. The courthouse is going to be closed soon. We should quickly get this over with when Grandma has passed
H
It was time to end this. Sabrina pushed open the car door and stepped out, pushing down her physical discomfort.
