Chapter 69 Misguided in Love
That night, Zayn threw a divorce party for Sabrina. At the bar, Sabrina leaned against the counter, gently swirling her glass. Under the glow of the amber lights, the music played softly, giving the place a ty vibe.
Zayn clinked his glass with hers. “Cheers to your divorce, Sabrina.”
“Mmhm.”

Sabrina didn’t look the least bit happy, and it was easy to understand why. Even though it was three years of an unreciprocated marriage, she had poured out her heart. How could she possibly be happy? Worse yet, Jordan was Sabrina’s first lover.
Seeing that Sabrina wasn’t in a good mood, Amanda didn’t want to bother her. Instead, she leaned toward Zayn and asked, “Who’s Erina’s ex–husband?”
Amanda just never found the chance to askearlier.
“Her ex–husband is jordan. Aside from his looks, everything else is way worse than me,” Zayn remarked with contempt as he sipped his drink.
“I don’t believe you.” Amanda chuckled. “Brina wouldn’t settle for someone average.”
Zayn was annoyed. “Are you going to do anything about this, Jeffrey? +
Jeffrey responded, “Not my problem.”
“Who’s going to deal with your woman if not you?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I’m not his woman.” Amanda started off feeling bashful. But when she noticed Jeffrey was unfazed, she became livid.
Zayn clicked his tongue and nonchalantly smiled without saying a word. Seeing him like this, Amanda was so mad that she just faced away and ignored him.
Meanwhile, Sabrina kept knocking back drinks until she was totally wasted.
The next day, Sabrina woke up with a headache. After she looked around more carefully, she found herself in her room. It must have been Zayn who brought her back last night.
Upon getting out of bed, Sabrina felt her stomach acting up a little.
She suddenly realized something and opened her drawer to get her contraceptive pills. Checking the expiration date, she saw they were six months past their expiry date. That explained why it didn’t work
Someone was knocking at the door, and Amanda’s voice came from outside the door. “Are you awake,
Brina?”
Sabrina tossed the expired contraceptive pills into the bin and walked over to open the door.
“You’re up, Brina.”
“Yeah, I just woke up.” Sabrina’s voice was a little raspy.
“Just thought of something. The boss of the company I’m supposed to work with is also named Jordan. Could it be the same person?”
Upon hearing that name, Sabrina frowned, “What’s the company called?”
“Ford Corporation. The company seems influential in Homsey.”
That had to be Jordan’s company.
“Just keep it professional, and don’t let your feelings get in the way.”
After the divorce, Sabrina didn’t plan to get back at Jordan. He treated her well in every way during their three years together even if he didn’t love her. Amanda putted up her cheeks and snapped, “But he made you upset and drunk I’m really mad and don’t want to work with him.”
Sabrina turned and walked toward the bathroom. “Money is money. Don’t pass up a chance for it.”
Amanda trailed behind Sabrina and stated furiously, “You just leave it to me, atina. I’ll make him pay for this. It’s ridiculous that he doesn’t see your worth.”
“I’ve already gotten in touch with Amanda, Mr. Ford. She’s in Homsey right now. I was planning to pick her up, but she insisted on coming here on her own. I’ve scheduled a meeting with her at the office at 2:00p.m.”
Adrian put a contract in front of Jordan. “Here’s the contract you asked for.”
Jordan took the contract, his charming face revealing how tired he was. He hadn’t slept well after divorcing Sabrina yesterday, and he even dreamt about her.
*Did you find out where Sabrina is staying?”
Adrian was stupefied. “Nope. Not yet.”
Ferling intitated, Jordan tarrowed his brows. “You can’t even take care of something so trivial?”
