Selena wasn’t surprised Valerie would say that. After all, who’d be willing to walk away from a huge fortune that was already within reach?
Everyone could tell the difference between being rich for a lifetime and having wealth that lasted for generations.
“I love that you love my son, not just his money.” Before walking out, Selena coldly said, “When Sabrina and Jordan were divorced, she didn’t even take a penny.”

When Sabrina retumed to her office, she was pleasantly surprised to see a familiar figure sitting on her chair.
“I’m here to see you,” Selena said. “Are you and Jordan really divorced?”
“Sabrina poured a cup of hot water and set it in front of Selena. “I can’t get you a cup of coffee for now, so you’ll have to make do with this I’m afraid.”
Seeing Sabrina so calm and collected, Selena frowned. “You don’t need to divorce him, Sabrina. That way, you’ll always be Mrs. Ford. No other woman will have a chance to take your place.”
“It’s my decision, Mom. Jordan doesn’t love me, and I don’t want to be stuck in a marriage without love. It’s a torture for both of us. As a woman, you should get where I’m coming from”
Selena sighed. “You shouldn’t just walk away with nothing and let him get away with that.”
Then, Selena pulled out a card from her bag and handed it to Sabrina. “Here’s 30 million dollars. Get yourself a nice place so that you’ll have somewhere to stay in the future.”
