Jordan casually withdrew his gaze without doubting her explanation
“Jordan, have Mrs. Ford Senior and the others arrived?”

“Their absence won’t affect the proceedings today,” Jordan reassured her. He knew that she would feel aggrieved on this matter.

A smile of happiness spread across Valerie’s face. Although today was not their official wedding day, she was still pleased because she had just taken another step closer to her goal.
