Chapter 16: The Vile Mother–In–Law
One second, William was far away and the next second, he had already
grabbed his Mother–in–law by the throat.
“Who do you think you are to try and kill me?” His expression was unreadable as he questioned her.
She choked.
His Mother–in–law was responsible for the attack that almost ended his life.
If he didn’t have his family ring, he would have died on the spot.
But then, those men were professionals.
He vividly remembered the type of weapon they had used to shoot him.
His stepmother didn’t have such a connection and money to hire them?
“William, you useless man, how dare you attack your mother–in–law?” The youngest daughter of Master Wilson tried to use her words against him.
She couldn’t stand by and watch the useless Son–in–law hurt their sister.
William shot them a fierce glance and a cold shiver ran down their spine.
That stare was something else.
He had looked down at them like a predator that was about to latch onto its
prey.

They couldn’t take steps towards him.
“Speak, who are you working with?” William released his grip around
Elizabeth’s neck and she managed to cough out.
He had tolerated this woman for five years but what he would not tolerate was a family member trying to kill him.

Elizabeth gritted her teeth arrogantly, “You stupid man! You deserve to die, you

Her face was clouded with viscousness and her hatred for him was not even hidden.
The expression on his face remains unchanged as he lets go of her completely.
“Don’t you think you’ll regret everything you have done”
It was obvious that she wasn’t the mastermind of the attack and she wouldn’t easily tell him the truth.
He could try to force it out of her but the passer–by would really see him as a bad person.
Not that he cares.
They are not capable of killing him.
“Regret…” She laughed hysterically, “The only regret I have was allowing my father to tie you with my daughter. That old man is really short–sighted”
William shook his head and said, “You all put together are nothing compared to Master Wilson. How dare you say such a thing? You are the short–sighted one‘
If only they knew his true identity, they would realize that they’re not even worthy to have him in their family.
With the wave of his hand as the sole heir of the Miller Conglomerate, he can wipe out the entire Wilson business from existence and they would never rise again.
Still, with that influence, he can make them an unparalleled force in the world.
One that is even greater than the power players in New Spring City.
He was the one who caused the Wilson family to rise to this level with just the tiniest bit of his influence.
William suspects that the Old Master Wilson somehow has little information about his influence in the world.
That man must have been calculative enough to make him a part of the Wilson but these vicious women wanted him out.
Elizabeth’s face became distorted with rage, “How dare you call me short-

She lifted her hand to strike William but he gave her a florce glance.
Her heart sank heavily and she almost cried for foar.
What was that look he gave her?
It gave out a murderous feeling.
“You! You must divorce my daughter or there will be no place in this world for
you”
After threatening William, she didn’t wait and quickly ran towards the restroom.
This was the man she used to order around and even hit conveniently but something was now different.
He even grabbed her neck and hurt her.
Somehow, she was scared of William now.
“That trash picker!” She cursed internally.
“William, how dare you be this bold to disrespect your mother–in–law? Don’t you respect your elders?”
“The Wilson Family had taken you in for five years but now you have decided to bite the hands that feed you”
“You’re just an ungrateful man, you must agree to divorce our niece, you’re not worthy of her”
William was getting berated by Master Wilson’s daughter and the look of disdain on their faces was evident.
He didn’t expect to bump into them here in the hospital else he would have postponed his visit to the old man.
“You talk about respect, yet you call Old Master Wilson short–sighted and try to send me away behind his back” He was calm and composed as usual and did
not rush his words.
The woman’s face became distorted in embarrassment because he had struck them with the right word but that didn’t the eldest from saying, “You’re a loser who doesn’t have the right to say anything. Once Tracey marries into the Snow

William smiled bitterly, “Are you sure you won’t come to beg me once you realize how great I am”
The Eldest, Naomi, didn’t hesitate to puff her chest up and say, “Great? You can never be great. If you agree to divorce Tracey now, we might consider being lenient to you in the future”
“Who is causing this disturbance in this hospital?” A loud voice sounded from the hallway and they turned to see a man approaching them with two security guards by his side.
It was the chief medical officer, Maxwell.
Naomi grinned evilly and quickly said, “Doctor Maxwell, It’s this idiot who has come to cause trouble here”
She pointed at William who remained calm.
Maxwell who wanted to please the woman quickly puffed his chest to act but when he saw the person in question, he froze.

“Doctor Maxwell, throw this trash out” Naomi clenched her fist.
Without warning, he turned around and struck her across the face, “Who do you think you are to order me around? Throw these women out, they are causing trouble in this hospital”
The women were shocked as the two guards got into action and began. dragging them away.
“Doctor Maximus, you must be mistaken Naomi cried with a loud voice but he wasn’t listening.
“Great Doctor, I’ve sent those troublesome women away” Maxwell quickly said respectfully.
William nodded and replied, “It’s alright. I’m here to see an Old Master Wilson”
“This way please”
Meanwhile, Elizabeth had locked herself in the restroom and was speaking with Tracey over the phone, “…… Listen, you must not delay to divorce William
anymore. He dared to beat me up. My back hurts so bad, I think I’m going to die”
“Don’t say bad things, Mother. Go to the hospital. I’ll call William now, we will get the divorce”
“I’ll be waiting for the good news” She hung the call and dialed another number.
The pitiful look on her face has now transformed into a mischievous
expression.
As soon as the receiver took the call, she cried aloud, “William is not dead. He just attacked and injured me”
“That’s impossible” The receiver replied in disbelief.
“I thought you said he’s dead. He threatened to kill me” She lied without hesitation.
“How dare him? I’ll speak to my boys, they’ll make sure nothing is left of him. this time” He promised.
“Please hurry, he’s at Peakview Hospital right now”
