Chapter 19: The Yorke Family
“Who do you think you are to come here and cause trouble?” The other mant who sat to the side said and his face was engulfed in visible rage.
“We are the Yorke family, and no insignificant person in this City will dare to offend us” The third man chirped in with his shoulders raised highly, “We can make anyone vanish without no trace”
“If you apologize to the Yorke family, perhaps we can settle this amicably Johnathan who stood to the side stammered as he tried to soften the situation between the two parties.
He was the one who brought William to this place.
“Big J, this man should be dead already. How dare you bring him here to disrespect the Yorke Family? Do you have a death wish?” The leader of the Black Serpent Gang glared fiercely at Johnathan who was now shivering for fear.
He knew how ruthless their gang leader could be but this man, Williams was also something to be feared.
He was caught between two ruthless persons and had no option but to go down the easier path.
Johnathan dropped to his knees and began to bow before the three men and his Boss.
“Forgive me for my foolishness. I made a mistake. We couldn’t beat him, Boss”
Matteo, the leader of the gang gritted his teeth and snapped. “Shameful! How dare you give excuses for your failure and even bring him here”
“I apologize, Boss, be lenient when you punish me”
Matteo’s chest puffed up arrogantly and he looked in the direction of William to say, “If you go down and apologize too, I might consider going easy on you”
William scoffed, still seated with his legs crossed.
“I thought you were paid to kill me?”
“Yes, and that will be done, but if you apologize to the Yorke family for your

recklessness. I’ll make your death painless” Matteo wanted to humiliate him. before doing the job his righthand man couldn’t handle.

“If you give me the information I want, then I might consider leaving you in one piece” William’s words were audible to the men who were already preparing to watch him grovel at their feet.
“You!” The elder of the Yorke family was up to his feet again and his face was now distorted with rage.
“Who is your backing? We can wipe out your family from this earth before the morning of tomorrow. Don’t you know we’re connected to the Roosevelt through the Mellon Family? Whoever offends the Roosevelt does not live to tell the story”
William chuckled gently, “You want to wipe my family from the earth”
This was funny to him because these proud power–drunken men didn’t know about his connection to the Miller Conglomerate and the unfathomable powers of the empire.
The entire power–playing family in New Spring put together cannot even dream of getting close to an ordinary local branch of his family’s Conglomerate group.

He was already making plans to push them to the level of a power player once he revealed his identity to his wife.
Matteo laughed hysterically. “You’re indeed useless as they say. Mr. Yorke, please don’t involve the Wilson in the foolishness of this trash. They don’t even

The elder of the Yorke now felt high of himself as he caressed his full beard and said, “I’m a considerate man so I’ll look into that. Which family is he from? I’ll surely not spare them”
Matteo quickly said, “I don’t think he has one. Probably an orphan or something”
This made the three men laugh heartily but unknown to them William’s eyes had turned dark and murderous.

The elder of the Yorke family had been sent stumbling over the couch by a powerful kick from William.
They didn’t even see how fast he had moved from the couch.
The other two couldn’t even have time to react as he struck them in the
stomach.
They coughed out blood and passed out on that spot.
“Repeat what you said” Looking into William’s eyes, Matteo could see and feel the killing intent emanating from him.
“Guards!” He cried quickly, “Mr. Yorke has been attacked”
The two well–built men at the entrance had already noticed the commotion and entered the room.
These two were the bodyguards of the elder of the Yorke family and their experiences in frontal combat were unmatched.
They were formally wrestlers who defeated all of their opponents and never lost a fight to anyone.
The Yorke family saw the two as an asset and hired them to work in exchange for money and influence.
No one ever dares to offend a member of the Yorke family whenever they were around but today, someone dares to hurt an elder in their presence.
If they didn’t kill this brazen man today, people would make fun of them in the future.

An old man in a black trench coat had entered the room and his weight was leaning against the cane in his hand.
Around him were five bodyguards armed with rifles and the look of their eyes. was menacing.
The eyes of the Elder of the Yorke family lit up in excitement at the arrival of the new person.
