Chapter 24: Divorced
An infectious smile bloomed on her face and she made to say something when William phone started to ring.
He took out his phone and was surprised to see Tracey calling him.
“It’s fine” Amelia told him and stepped aside.
William turned around and took the call only to be greeted by the raging voice
of his wife.
“William, you intentional snubbed all of my calls, didn’t you? How dare you? William, how dare you attack and injure my mother?”
William frowned slightly but he wasn’t surprised.
A woman who could conspire with someone else to kill him was capable of dishing out believable lies.
This wasn’t the first time though.
“You should ask your mother what she did wrong” His voice had turned cold.

“You trash!” She cursed “You dare to hurt my mother after everything we’ve done for a loser like you”
William scoffed because she sounded funny right now.
The Wilson would be nothing right now without his help.
“What do you want?” He casually asked her.
“What I want? What I want is a divorce. Do you think high of yourself because of the money you gave to my family five years ago? I’ll double it. If you don’t agree to divorce, then I might see you in court”
There was really no redemption for Tracy Wilson.
He had given her a chance to realize her mistakes but now he realize how much she was blinded.
There was no use sticking around anymore.
“Fine. I’ll meet you at the bureau to sign the divorce papers”

Tracy was taken aback from the other end of the line.
Wasn’t this the man who had been stubborn?
Of course he couldn’t look away from the money she proposed to pay.
“I don’t need your money” William replied as if he had read her thought and hung up the call.
He snorted.
Did she really think he would take money from an ungrateful woman?
20 million was now nothing to him.
“I really have to go now” William told Amelia and raised his hand to flag a moving cab but she stop him.
“Let me drive you to wherever you’re going..” She requested with a bright look
on her face.
“Don’t you have someplace to be? You should be resting” William tried to dissuade her even though he could see the look of determination in her eyes.
“Don’t argue because I won’t listen” Amelia took William by the arm and headed for the Roll–Royce Phantom parked in front of the building.
He was momentarily shocked as she lead him away.
This beautiful woman was really determined to pay him back.
Now that William thought of it, he didn’t have a dim on him for a taxi and he no longer had access to the company’s truck.
He can only agree to Amelia request.
They entered the vehicle together and she drove speedily out of the place.
“Oh my God, did you see that?”
“William just left with that woman”
“Did anyone see the way they talked together just now?”
“Is William Miller that close to the CEO of Horizon Capital Holdings?”

The employees in the building had watched Amelia drive away with William and had many questions.
Even Ethan, the Boss of the company was now shivering for fear.
If William was really close to the Eldest daughter of the Sinclair Family, does it mean he is in trouble now?
The Rolls–Royce Phantom arrived at the bureau building in no time and William turn to Amelia to say, “Thanks for the ride”
He left the vehicle and head inside the building.
Instead of leaving, Amelia remained seated in the vehicle and watched him vanish out of sight.
She had listened to his conversation over the phone and heard him talking about divorce papers.
Was he at the bureau to get a divorce with his wife?
She couldn’t help but wonder why a woman would want to divorce such an
awesome man.
He was a wonderful doctor and his calmness was something that needed to be studied.
She could recall the sadness she saw on his face after the call.
Amelia’s curiosity made her stay back.
Not long, a E–Class Mercedes Benz parked behind Amelia’s vehicle and Tracy alighted with a delighted expression.
She was on a call.
Yes, that trash has finally agreed to divorce, Mom. He even dared to reject that money I wanted to repay him. William is pretending to be arrogant but I’m sure he’ll come back crying to collect the money”
She laughed and then snorted, “How can he be compared to Harry? He is just a useless trash picker in this City who can’t take care of me”
The loud and arrogant voice of Tracy had attracted the attention of Amelia who rolled down her window even further.

So this was his wife spewing nonsense about him.
Amelia was visibly angered.
“Let me call you later, Mum” Tracy hung the call and left the building.
Meanwhile, William had just received a text message from Almond Grey.
‘Harry Snow is currently out of the country on a business trip. I’ll notify your once he returns‘
“Thank you, Grey‘ William sent a reply and just then, Tracy entered the room with an arrogant smirk on her lips.
“Just so you know, we’re not splitting properties, you have nothing and have only feed off my family” Tracy folded her arms and her chest was puffed off with pride.
He laughed bitterly.
Only if she knew what she would get if they were to split properties.
She would become one of the richest women in the world and her influence.

“If that’s what you want. Let us get down with this” He got to his feet.
“You’re acting brave right now, don’t come begging me for money later
because I won’t listen” Tracy was not happy because she expected and wanted William to be on his knees, begging her.
This was the man who had always worshipped and tried to please her in any
way.
Only if he was rich, then she might consider him but he was poor and useless.
Something just seem to have changed about him.
He was acting like he didn’t care about her anymore and this hurts her ego.
William was in no mood to argue so he didn’t reply her.
They got the necessary papers signed and there was no hiccup since they weren’t splitting property.

Now, they were officially divorced.
William walked out of the bureau building with Tracy who was filled with excitement but when she saw the calmness he exhibited, she got angry.
“Just don’t come begging for that twenty million because I won’t give you anymore and I don’t want to see you anywhere close to my family’s mansion or you’ll be in trouble with me”
Tracy didn’t plan to give William the 20 million in the first place.
Her family owned a multi–billion dollar company but most of her money was inside the family business.
Pulling out 20 million for a trash like William was not worth it.
She just wanted to deceive him to agree to divorce but he is pretending now.
“You’ll regret this, Tracey. I promise you” William’s words carried no emotion. as he told her.
“You!” Her face became distorted with rage and she made to attack him but…
“Hey, Darling…you kept me waiting” A sweet female voice had come from the side and they both turned to see Amelia approaching.
William’s brows furrowed surprise since he thought she had left already.
She took his arm in hers and rolled her eyes around Tracy.
“Thank you for divorcing him. How else could I have gotten such a handsome man?” The look on Amelia’s eyes looked so sincere.
William knew she was playing around but was still shocked at her boldness to execute this.
Somehow, he loved the look of horror and confusion that was now plastered on Tracy’s face as Amelia lead him towards the Rolls–Royce Phantom.
Tracy’s jaw was down and she just couldn’t recover from the shock.
Wasn’t that New Spring’s goddess, Amelia Sinclair, the CEO of Horizon Capital Holdings?
What was her ex–husband doing with her?
