Chapter 26: $1 Billion
Unlike the last time, William was welcomed by a group of armed squat team who were waiting for him at the entrance of the Bank.
They led him into the building like private bodyguards and their aura was imposing.
No one dared to stand in their way.
Rose was attending to one of the bank’s exclusive customers when she noticed that the attention of everyone had shifted and there was now noise in the banking hall.
She lifted her head and her face brightened up the moment she saw William entering the hall with an armed SWAT team as bodyguard.
“Finally….” She had been praying silently for the Young Master to come around again and here he was.
Rose abandoned her post and hurried up to meet him but the guards stopped her from getting close.
“It’s good to see you again, Mr” She remembered he didn’t want her calling him Young Master.
“Ms Jackson” William could still remember this woman who made him cause a
scene.
She must have learned her lesson now.
Rose replied coquettishly, “You can call me, Rose. I should–hurry up and make tea for you”
This was Rose’s well–prepared plan and she had rehearsed on it several times last night.
If she could continue to get on the good side of this billionaire, then she could
become his.
He would surely take care of her and she would become a respected person in
society.
“That won’t be necessary. Have a nice day, Rose”

William didn’t think much about her.
He saw her as an arrogant woman who he had taught a vital lesson to not look down on people.
Rose’s face became scrunched up in disappointment as she watched him leave.
She returned to her desk and the customer she was attending to said slowly,” Who is that person?”
“Just shut the hell up!” Enraged, she snapped.
Almond Grey was participating in an online conference when William arrived in his office.
He quickly logged out and jumped to his feet in excitement.
“Young Master, you’re finally here”
His eyes were filled with admiration.
“It’s William, Grey”
“Alright, I’ll keep that in mind, Mr. Miller” He grinned hideously.
The Bank Manager quickly brought out a metallic bank card with a platinum finishing and the edges appeared to have been polished.
At first glance, the card gave a sense of exclusivity.
“Here is your platinum bank card, Mr. Miller, loaded with one billion dollars as you have requested” Grey handed over the card to William who took it from him and examined the texture.
One billion dollars, a pinch of his wealth but he didn’t need more than that for
now.
“Good job, Grey. I’ll be on my way”
“One more thing, Mr. Miller…” Almond Grey quickly stopped him and pulled a suitcase from under the desk before saying, “I perceived you might be needing cash so I withdrew five hundred thousand dollars from your black card”
William was planning to make a withdrawal already.

“That’s thoughtful of you, Grey. Any news on him yet?”
Grey didn’t understand at first but his eyes soon lit up.
“Harry Snow is still outside the country but I’ve estimated his return to be less than a week from now. I’ll keep you in touch”
“That would be all, Grey”
William left the Exclusive Avenue Bank with the briefcase containing five. hundred thousand dollars.
When Rose saw him leave, her expression became ugly because he didn’t acknowledge her presence in the hall.
He didn’t even bid her goodbye.
She thought she would be able to get his contact but she successfully achieved nothing.
William was about to locate his garbage truck when he remembered that he resigned from work already and returned the company’s vehicle.
He flagged a taxi by the roadside and got it.
When he told the cabman to drop him by the car dealership on the south side of the city, the man viewed William via the driving mirror and wondered if he was capable.
They soon arrived at the location.
“Keep the change…”
The man was shocked after William left a hundred dollar note in his hand and left for the car dealership building with his briefcase.
Now that he was back to wealth, he wouldn’t hold back and purchase whatever he wanted, including a brand–new vehicle for convenience.
He entered the car dealership building and was quickly welcomed by one of the saleswomen in ponytail hair.
“Good morning, Mr. Welcome to–” She immediately noticed the old shoe he was wearing and looked at him to realize his clothes were also old brand wear.

“Kate, your type is here, attend to him…” She announced in a mocking tone and rolled her eyes over William before walking away.
Laughter erupted from the other saleswomen in the building and even their customers looked in the direction of William.
The voice of the woman had been loud and now William was the center of attraction in the room.
He was easy to pick out of a crowd as he was different from the other customers in luxurious outfits which screamed wealth to admirers.
“Mia, Don’t you think he’s the new cleaner?” One of the free saleswomen asked the returning saleswoman who had a disappointed expression on her face.
“That’s right..” Mia turned around and said in a loud voice, “Are you the new cleaner?”
William was used to people belittling him already so he wasn’t moved by her
nonsense.
“I’m here to buy a car. Who would attend to me?”
This made Mia to laugh. “A car? The cheapest car here is $36,000. This place is not a streetside car dealership where you can get used cars. You must have missed the direction given to you”
Just then, a shabily dressed petite woman appeared from the backdoor of the building, and sweat could be seen over her face, and she was panting heavily.
“Mia, did you call me here?” She asked under her breath.
“Yes, we finally found a customer that best fits you, you know you’re not worthy of attending to our elegant customers. But with the look of things, he won’t be able to afford our cheapest car even if we give him a discount” The other saleswoman crossed her arms as she told the petite saleswoman.
The young woman raised her head in the direction of William and the moment she saw him, her eyes flickered in shock.
She hurried quickly towards him, whispering, “William, what are you doing here?
