Chapter 28: The Car Dealership.
This revelation from Natalie made everyone see William in a new light and they stared disdainfully at him.
“I thought he was someone but seems he’s trying to play around,” One of the women in the crowd said aloud and another added, “I knew he couldn’t afford. anything here from the beginning”
“You better throw him out before people think the standard of this car dealership has declined. This is not a place for poor people”
The arrogant saleswomen were not only happy with what Natalie had told everyone but they now had the support of the other customers.
Kate wore a complicated expression as she stared at William, waiting for him to deny the claims but he remained quiet.
“William, you’re married?
She never had an idea of this from the time they worked as a colleague in the waste management company.
William was a live–in son–in–law.
“I was. She’s right, I was the live–in son–in–law of the Wilson family. Do you look
down on me now?”
Kate was at a loss for words but she managed to say, “I’ve never judged you. You have always been a good friend”
She was surprised to know this thing about William but it didn’t matter since. he had always been a good person.
“Good, now take me to see the most expensive car here” William had casually ignored Natalie like she didn’t exist.
Kate was back to being in a difficult position but she decided to trust him and led the way.
The other saleswoman quickly blocked her path and scolded her.
“Kate, what do you think you’re doing?” Mia was the first to speak and the others followed.

“Kate, you really want to lose your job. Didn’t you hear that he cannot afford. even a toy car?”
“Yes,” Natalie stepped forward, “He’s probably here to steal one of your vehicles and run away. This man is a hooligan in the society”
She was prepared to add more fuel to the already burning fire of ridicule.
How could she forget how the prestigious Doctor Maxwell had her sisters and herself thrown out of the hospital in the presence of William?
It was the most humiliating moment in her life and she wanted payback.
Moreover, now that her niece successfully divorced the trash, she is excited to disgrace him and let the world see him for the loser that he is.
“I’m calling for security right away” Mia was even arrogant and she looked around to find any of the security guards in the building..
Kate’s face turned pale for fear. “Mia, don’t do this. He just wants to see the most expensive car we have here and we’ll leave”
She tried to beg, knowing how rough the security guards could be at solving problems.
“I said I want to buy it, not see” William rephrased her words and this made her fear even more.
“William, don’t cause more problems, allow me to handle this” She whispered for fear.
Where exactly did he want to get the money to buy the most expensive vehicle at the car dealership?
As much as she wanted to believe him, the William she used to know wasn’t that capable.
“William, how dare you be this brazen here? Do you want to be beaten up?” Natalie scolded him.
“This doesn’t concern you. You should learn to keep your mouth shut” William

Natalie was shocked and this made her let out an outburst. “You’re just a trash picker, what gives you the right to say this nonsense!”
“Are you going to watch him scold me?” She glared at her fiancée who initially wanted to watch the show from the corner without involving himself.
The man cleared his throat and turned to William. “Apologize to my fiancée before I beat you up”
He tightened his fist and glared at William who looked weak in his sight.
“Who is causing trouble here?” A powerful voice suddenly resonated in the store and everyone turned their heads around to see an old man in a white suit and pants walk out from the inner room of the building.
Behind him was a young brunette lady in her early twenties following closely.
“Mr. Watson has arrived”
“Isn’t he the owner of this place? What is he doing here today?”
“His beautiful daughter is also here. I heard that she is studied in an expensive university overseas”
Kate’s face was now ashen in fright.
She turned to William and said, “William, hurry up and leave. That’s Mr. Watson and he owns this place. His way of handling things is ruthless”
“Why should I leave? I’m buying the most expensive car here today” William walked past Kate to meet the owner of the Car Dealership and now, it was too late for her to stop him.
“What is going on here?” Mr. Watson demanded.
William who was already close didn’t even hesitate to talk. “Is this how this place is run? To look down on customers. I’m here to buy a car and they have decided to spout nonsense rather than attend to me”
“Don’t listen to his nonsense, Mr. Watson. He wants to buy the most expensive car here” Mia said quickly and even giggled at the end of it.

A slight frown formed on the owner’s head and he looked at William’s outward
appearance.
He didn’t look like someone who could afford the cheapest car in his place.
Was this meant to be a joke?
“Is that true?” He asked calmly.
“Yes, I want to buy your most expensive vehicle” The determined look on William’s face remained.
The old man had been in this business for long and he knew just how to solve a situation like this.
In his years of experience, not everyone liked to show off even when they were capable of something.
Attending to every customer was the rule of his car dealership and he wouldn’t break that even now.
He cleared his throat and said, “That can be arranged, but we would need to go through some certain verification first. The car you seek is an exclusive one and not available to just everyone. First, evidence that you are capable of purchasing what you ask for”
Mr. Watson spoke professionally and this made William hold back his complaint and comply.
Just when Natalie made to say something, he pulled out his platinum card, high enough for everyone in the Car Dealership to see.
The eyeballs of everyone who recognized the card almost dropped to the floor.
Mr. Watson’s daughter slightly pulled his sleeve, whispering, “Father, isn’t that the Imperial Platinum Card?”
The owner of the Car Dealership couldn’t respond because he was now visibly shaken.
