Chapter 29: The Imperial Platinum Card
To those who didn’t know the Imperial Platinum card, it simply looked like a metallic bank card made of high–quality material.
The polished surface reflects the light to display the brilliance of the card itself.
But those who recognized the card knew it was a symbol of power, privilege, and status in the country.
This platinum card could not just be obtained by anyone even if they possessed wealth above imagination.
Only selected influential figures in society are granted access to this exclusive card and its privileges.
The privileges knew no bounds as the card gives access to prestigious casinos and clubs, VIP treatment at exclusive hotels and gatherings, and also secures VVIP reservations at high–end places worldwide.
But then, most importantly, you should never offend those with the Imperial Platinum Card as they have unparalleled power and connections.
This was enough reason for Mr. Watson to be shaken.
The last time he saw this card was at an event outside the country where he met billionaires who controlled the businesses of the world.
How can a shabbily dressed person like William possess this card?
It was simply shocking.
Natalie and her fiancée recognized the card too and were too stunned to say anything.
Where in the name of heaven did this useless son–in–law get a card that screamed privilege?
They had only seen this card on screen before and not even in real life.
“Is the verification complete now?” William broke the silence in the building.
“What’s going on, Mother? Why is everyone quiet?” A girl asked her mother seeing the ashen look on the people’s faces.

The woman quickly covered the mouth of her daughter and whispered. “This man must be a powerful person. We must not offend him”
Mr. Watson gulped in dry air and stammered. “I–If you don’t mind, can we check the authenticity of the card”
“Sure” William handed over the card to the owner of the Car dealership.
Mr. Watson collected the platinum card with both hands and was now shivering because, at a close–up, he could tell it was original.
Mia didn’t believe that he could possess a card such as this so she hurriedly brought a terminal over.
This man must be a con artist who had brought a fake card to deceive people into thinking he was important in society.
Mr. Watson hesitated before swiping the card.
Natalie could no longer hold back as she stepped forward and said. “He must have stolen this card from someone significant. I know him, he’s a thief and a useless man. He has been married into my family for the past five years and has done nothing but feed off us. This man here is a trash picker”
Her fiancée nodded in support of what she was saying.
He was the Manager of a bank and knew what an Imperial Platinum Card was.
Even his bank isn’t great enough to issue one.
A beep sound was heard as the terminal confirmed the card as authentic.
The device had also displayed the logo of the platinum card and the bank that had issued it.
Mr. Watson was also shaken to know it was the Exclusive Bank Avenue, the greatest bank in New Spring City.
“If you don’t mind sir, your name” He was completely polite now, knowing he couldn’t offend the owner of the card.
“William Miller, that’s the name of this trash. He must have stolen the card, didn’t he? You must throw him out immediately” Natalie had a wide grin on her face as she was sure the card was stolen.

Mr. Watson looked down and confirmed the name the terminal had displayed.
“William, did you steal the card?” Kate whispered from the side and he only smiled.
Mia was impatient to wait for her boss to announce the card as stolen.
“Hahaha…” She laughed hysterically, “Do you think you can come here to deceive everyone? Kate, he must be trying so hard to impress you”
As soon as she finished speaking, there was a resounding sound in the air as she was thrown to the ground by a powerful slap from her boss..
“You reckless woman!” He roared and kicked her face as she tried to get up,” What gives you the right to disrespect our customers?”
Everyone was scared to the bones by the ruthlessness of the old man.
“You all are fired! If I see you here again, I’ll make sure your legs are broken”
The faces of the saleswomen turned ashen by the sudden change in Mr. Watson’s expression and they did not even dare to beg him, fearing his retaliation.
They could only cry silently.
“Guards!” He called.
Natalie was yet to understand what was going on and continued to berate William.
“I never knew you were this useless. Tracy was right to have divorced trash like you”
Mr. Watson initially wanted the guards to throw the saleswomen out but seeing Natalie’s attitude towards his prestigious customer, he was enraged.
“Throw that woman out, make her face like that of a pig!”
Natalie was shaken as she realized he was pointing at her.
In the next second, burly bodyguards appeared from different directions and bundled her up recklessly.
Her fiancée almost urinated on himself for fear and quickly distanced himself

from her because of the imposing manner of the guards.
“Mr. Watson you must be mistaken! William, you bastard!” Her voice faded away.
Mr. Watson stepped forward and handed over the platinum card with a slight bow of his head. “Please pardon us for any inconveniences you have suffered today, Mr. Miller”
