Chapter 42: The $205 Million Villa
“How long have you been an Agent?” William asked Bella who was effortlessly. navigating her way through the streets.
“I just graduated from the University. My father wants me to work as an agent. first because he links me up with a friend overseas so I can do desk work”
“Your father must be disciplined” William nodded gently.
She almost laughed out loud.
Only If he knew that her father was trying to hook her up with him.
Her father had always wanted her to get married to an influential man or get a good job overseas.
She got none after graduating and this job he temporarily got for her was more. like a punishment.
Most of her colleagues had been in the company for years and there is herself with zero work experience in Estate Management.
“What about you? What do you do?” She blinked her eyes.
William shrugged. “Nothing. More like a next of kin”
Telling her he worked at a waste management company was not an option and revealing that he was the heir of a Conglomerate group was also not an option.

Bella brought the vehicle to a halt and alighted with one sentence from her mouth. “We are here”
William stepped out and lifted his head to see the magnificent Villa standing in front of them.
The walls appeared to have been crafted with limestone blocks which gleamed in the bright sunlight that afternoon.
He was already captivated by the architectural details of the magnificent building.

“This way…” She beckoned at him and moved towards the building as she said, “Some of the best architects in New Spring had come together to draft the plan for this Villa and I also have to add, AMK group, the leading construction company in New Spring contracted a part of this projected and was personally supervised by the CEO of the group, Daniel Louis”
“Daniel Louis?” The name sounded familiar in William’s ears.
“Do you know him?” Bella raised her brows slightly, “He is quite popular in New Spring. Daniel Louis is my Boss’s brother. This way….”
They approached the huge double door of the Villa which was made of rich mahogany wood and William glanced behind to see the carved pillars towering behind them.
The details couldn’t be ignored by him.
The bodyguards let them through after Bella showed them her ID and identified William as a potential buyer who had come to take a look.
William didn’t look rich to them but they couldn’t stand him because of the agent he came with.
They could lose their jobs if they acted recklessly..
Bella was ushering him through the hallway when a mocking voice sounded from the side. “Look. Who is it? Bella Watson”
They both turned to see a red–haired woman approaching them with a vicious smile on her face.
Bella tightened her fist and tried to remain composed.
William noticed this and immediately understood that this was no friend of hers.
“Bella, did you lose your way here?” The woman asked with arms crossed.
“Ophelia, Can’t I be here? We have the same job to do” Bella replied and this made the young woman laugh to her heart’s content.
Ophelia was one of her colleagues at work and she was one of the oldest persons who had more experience than every other person.

It always took her less than 24 hours to get a buyer for any property she was tasked with even if the market value was greater than $5 Million.
This made her see herself above everyone and no one would even dare to compete with her.
“Look around, do you see any agent here?” Ophelia puffed her chest up as she said and Bella looked around to confirm her words.
Indeed no one would ever be brazen enough to compete with Ophelia whenever their Boss tasked multiple agents to a single property which she is part of.
This was why she didn’t even have the slightest thought of finding a buyer.
“We’re not here for that, Ophelia. He is not a buyer. We only came around to see the place” Bella tried to explain but Ophelia interrupted her with laughter.
William stepped forward. “When did I say I won’t be buying? I think I’ve seen enough to make me take this Villa”
Bella was stupefied.
This made Ophelia to laugh even harder. “Bella, did you bring your boyfriend around to say nonsense? Oh, you brought him here to pretend to be a big person, right?”
“Let me tell you, I’ve already found a buyer who wants to take this building so leave right now or I’ll call security”
“You got a buyer already?” Bella was surprised to her bones.
How did she manage to find a buyer for a $205 Million Villa in less than 24 hours?
Ophelia would always remain an adversary whom no one can contend against.
