Chapter 49: The Ridiculous Ex–wife
William hung up the call and got into a taxi that transported him to the Car Dealership.
He got into his car and made to drive away when Tracey’s call came in again.
If she keeps bothering him this way, then he might be forced to block her.
Maybe she realized her wrong this time and was calling to apologize.
He received to call and as usual, he was welcomed by her screaming. “You! You’re getting even more arrogant to ignore my calls”
“What do you want?” She became annoying to him as the day passed by.
Turned out she didn’t call to apologize.
She scoffed at him from the other end and said, “You are acting brazen now. Is it because Ms. Sinclair took you as her gigolo? You are really shameless William. So you didn’t want the 20 million because you had another plan?”
William frowned. “What nonsense are you talking about?”
He didn’t think that Tracey would go this low to accuse him of being the gigolo of another woman.
Tracey laughed like she was insane. “Did you think you can deceive everyone to think you have a relationship with the number one eminent beauty of New Spring? She is only using you to pass away time”
“Let me tell you, if you apologize to my family for your recent recklessness, I might agree to take you as my driver or you can become our private garbage collector. You can stop disgracing the Wilson with this shamelessness of yours”
Now, William was completely displeased by the words of his ex–wife.
“We’re divorced, stop acting like you care”
She sneered disdainfully, “I can’t stand you staining the name of my family. You are my ex–husband now, don’t forget that. People might ridicule my family and me because of your shameless act with Amelia Sinclair”

Even after the divorce, she was still keen to make his life difficult.
Tracey’s face became distorted as she could no longer reach William.
She gritted her teeth and cursed, “You trash! How dare you block me?”
Another call came in and William relaxed, seeing it was Kate.
“Hey Kate,” He received her call.
“William, you have to help me” He could hear Kate’s crying voice from the other end of the call, “I’ve tried to ask people to help me but I can’t find anyone. I’m sorry for bothering you, I didn’t want to bother you, but right now, you’re my last option”
“Calm down, Kate. Speak slowly, what happened?”
“It’s my father, he loaned a large sum of money from a loan shark and has been unable to pay them. They just kidnapped my mother and brother now and they are threatening to kill them if I don’t pay back his loan within 24 hours. My father ran away from home already”
She continued to cry, “I really can’t raise the money. I’ve only been able to raise $25,000 out of $56,000 to be paid. They don’t even want to negotiate. William, I really didn’t want to bother you but they are going to kill my family. I promise to pay back the money. I swear with my life”
William sighed. “Kate, just calm down about this, everything is going to be okay. Send me your location”
Kate had always been a good friend of his, there was no way he wouldn’t help her right now.
“Okay…Okay…I’ll send it right now”
She hung up the call and a few seconds later, a message pinged on William’s phone with her address.
He turned his vehicle around and drove off.
When he arrived at the location, Kate was already waiting for him and her eyes

“Where are you paying them back the money?” He asked with a concerned expression.
Kate cleaned her tears and told him. “The loan shark owns an underground Casino just down the street where they run illegal businesses. They asked me to come alone”
William smiled bitterly, knowing how these street gangsters who disguise themselves as loan shark normally act.
There was no way he would allow Kate to go alone.
“Let us go together, Kate. We can explain things there”
Kate opened her mouth to speak but remembering that he was there to help her, she nodded.
She got into the vehicle with him and they left for the underground Casino.
