Chapter 100
Upon hearing this, Julian glanced at his watch and politely declined, “I’m sorry, Samuel’s waiting for me alone at home.”
Upon receiving his rejection, Yvonne felt a pang of disappointment. Nevertheless, she maintained a smile and uttered, “I see. Then you should head back soon. Don’t let Samuel wait alone at home for too long.”
She tried to comfort herself by saying that Julian declined her dinner invitation due to Samuel, not his lack of interest in having dinner with her.
Then, Yvonne mentioned, “Oh, I almost forgot to tell you that Grandpa is throwing a welcome party for me this weekend to officially celebrate my return. You definitely have to be there!”
Julian nodded in agreement. “Sure, I’ll be there.”
After saying this, he walked away without even looking at Yvonne.
Yvonne gazed at him with a tinge of love in her eyes. She took a deep breath. No matter what lay ahead, she was determined to show Julian her best side and win him over.
Celeste finished eating at a random restaurant and went back home. She was feeling empty inside and couldn’t stop thinking about the scene that had just unfolded. She was wondering about the woman she saw and her connection to Julian. Celeste also wondered if they were going to eat together. After getting ready for bed, she spent a while lying down before eventually falling asleep.
The following day, Celeste took charge of a substantial workload. She channeled all her focus into her tasks. She was determined to keep her mind away from those issues and those people.
At noon, she went to the pantry for a glass of water. Celeste couldn’t help but think of Julian when she had some free time. She recalled the scene from last night. Despite the distance, she could still clearly see that Yvonne was tall, slender, and graceful. Maybe only a woman like her was truly deserving of Julian. “Celeste, what’s distracting you? Why are you lost in thought?” Sabrina’s voice snapped Celeste back to reality. She then discovered that the water had from the glass.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Anderson. I was simply pondering over the project.” Celeste hastily grabbed a cloth and quicldy dried the table.

Sabrina smiled helplessly. “You can’t let yourself get so consumed by the project. You seemed distracted all day and even had dark circles under your eyes. It seems like you didn’t sleep well last night. Make sure you prioritize getting enough rest.”
“I understand. Thanks, Ms. Anderson,” replied Celeste while smiling awkwardly. She then returned to her desk and started working seriously, which resulted in her no longer thinking about Julian
