Chapter 25
After making sure that she wasn’t hearing things, Celeste was still confused. She shook her head profusely. “You don’t have to. I’ll go alone. I can’t have you go shopping with me.”
Afterall, Julian was the CEO of Ford Corporation
He was the male icon of thousands of women. He was a big shot with a net worth in the billions. He was a uniquely well–adjusted man.
Things would be bad if word of this got out.
Unexpectedly, Julian wasn’t worried about any of that at all. Instead, he unhappily said, “Why not?”
Celeste wondered why he had even bothered to ask that. A farmer’s market wasn’t the place for someone as overbearing and arrogant as him. If they really went there together, everyone would be watching them for sure.
Even so, she dared not express her true thoughts. She could only laugli nervously and say, “Because you’re a guest, of course! I can’t bother you with something like this,”
As they talked, they’d arrived at the door of Celeste’s home.
Celeste held Samuel in one hand. Then, with the other hand, she took out her key and was about to open the door.
Unexpectedly, Samuel looked up at her and said, “Ms. Hart, I want to go there.”
Celeste looked at him, dumbfounded. “Why do you want to go there? The farmer’s market isn’t really a nice place. That place is messy and smelly!”
Even Celeste herself couldn’t stand the combined smell of fish and raw meat sometimes.
However, Samuel insisted, saying, “I don’t care. I want to stay with you. Okay? Then, he looked at her with an innocent and expectant gaze.
Celeste was tongue–tied and couldn’t bring herself to refuse him. Her heart almost melted when she saw Samuel’s gaze. So, she quickly agreed, “Okay, I’ll take you
there.”
Samuel cheered, “You’re the be
best, Ms. Hart!” After saying that, he leaned over and lassed Celeste’s cheek
His actions made Celeste’s heart melt. She was so touched that she wished she could give him everything she had
Meanwhile, Julian felt extremely uncomfortable at the sight.
He had wanted to gov
with Celeste too, but she had refused without hesitation. However, when Samuel asked, she’d agreed so quickly,
It was obvious how blased she was!
As Julian was suilding, Celeste looked back at him and asked, “Mr. Ford, I’ll take Samuel out. Is that okay?”
Julian nodded. “Of course.”
Celeste smiled and said, “Thank you. You can come with us and help keep an eye on Samuel when I pick the food.”
Just like that, Julian happily brought them out
About ten minutes later, they arrived at the entrance
entrance of the farmer’s market.
It was clearly Julian’s first time here seeing as how he was stunned by the sight before him.
This place was messy and loud. The butcher was chopping meat, and the fishmonger was neatly cutting tish. However, the overwhelming smell of fish and blood was unbearably pungent
Julian frowned and felt a little uncomfortable. Samuel frowned and covered his nose with his hand too.
Celeste had already expected them to react this way, so she suggested, “Mr. Ford, why don’t you and Samuel wait for me here? I’ll head inside and buy the food. I’ll be back soon.”
Samuel immediately became unhappy at her words. He used all four of his limbs to grab Celeste’s neck and waist. Then, he said, “I want to stay with you, Ms. Hart
