Chapter 31
The sound of the slap resounded in the corridor. There were even customers and waiters nearby who were shocked when they saw what had happened.
Stacy quickly returned to her senses and rushed to William’s side. She asked, “William, are you okay?”
Sally also dashed over, and when she saw the two slap marks on her son’s face, her expression twisted in anger. “Celeste, how dare you hit
After saying that, she charged toward Celeste, loolding as it she were going to tear her apart.
my son! I’ll kill you!”
Celeste couldn’t dodge her in time. But just as she was about to take the hit, a strong and reached out from behind her and grabbed Sally’s hand.
“What’s going on here?” Celeste heard a cold voice behind her.
There was an imperceptible hint of anger in the voice. Then, she smelled a familiar scent–it was Julian’s scent. It was slightly fragrant and refreshing.
Then, she felt a broad chest on her back and felt its warmth too. In an instant, she felt her eyes water from the sense of security it provided ber.
She tumed her head to look at Julian with red eyes and asked, “Why are you out here?”
Julian looked at Celeste. He was about to answer her, but he noticed the red and swollen slap mark on her face and felt his blood boll.
A hint of hostility appeared in his gaze, and the gentleness he had shown Celeste could no longer be found. Instead, it was replaced with a frightening anger.
He slowly raised his head and looked at the others. His gaze was cold, heartless, and intimidating. “Who hit her?” he questioned.
Everyone, whether it was William, Ethan, or Benedict, dabbled in the business industry. All of them were powerful people. However, at this moment, they felt a chill running down their spines.
Stacy was even more shocked. She hadn’t expected that someone would show up and protect Celeste.
She looked at Julian in confusion.
Julian was tall, handsome, and elegant. He was wearing an expensive suit and exuded elegance in every move. He was like a king straight out of a medieval story. William paled in comparison to someone like him.
Stacy was both shocked and angry. She had initially thought that Celeste had been very miserable over all these years and even missed William. But she hadn’t expected Celeste to be so capable as to hook up with such an excellent man.
Just why? A bitch like celeste, who had given birth to another person’s child, didn’t deserve him. She should be living in exile for the rest of her lifel
As Stacy was overcome with jealousy, Celeste flatly said, “I’m fine. A rabid dog just attacked me.”
She then slowly turned to look at William with a cold gaze.
William had just been slapped twice, and now that Celeste had called him a rabid dog, his expression twisted even more. He gritted his teeth and said, “Celeste, you’ve got a death wish!”
