Chapter 43
Celeste gave Juliana slightly annoyed look. “Why didn’t you wake me up earlier?”
Julian smiled and shrugged. “Sam didn’t get another fever, so I figured you needed the sleep.”
Samuel snuggled closer to Celeste, his soft voice happily saying, “Sleeping with you last night was so warm, Ms. Hart.”
Celeste couldn’t help but smile at him.
Just then, Marcus hobbled into the room and stopped in his tracks when he saw them. He looked completely confused. “Wait… What’s going on here?”
Why was his future sister–in–law in his brother’s bed? He had o
I only spent the night kneeling, and now this? Had Julian really made a move while he was gone?
Marcus looked at Julian in shock. He never knew that his brother was that kind of person.
Julian sighed, clearly annoyed. “Why are you still here?”
Marcus felt a bit hurt and replied, “I just came to tell you that breakfast is ready. I’ll leave now, okay?”
As Marcus spoke, he kept glancing at Celeste, trying to see if something had really happened between her and Julian.
Embarrassed by this, Celeste quickly let go of Samuel and stammered, “I’m going to wash up.” Then, she rushed into the bathroom.
Julian shot Marcus a cold glare. His eyes were so sharp that Marcus felt a shiver run down his spine.
Marcus didn’t want to stick around any longer, so he nervously laughed. “Uh, okay. I’m heading downstairs now.” Then, be quickly left without another word.
Half an hour later, after having brealdast with Julian and Samuel, Celeste was ready to leave. After all, she had to start her new job today and didn’t want to be late.
Julian said, “I’ll drive you there.”
Celeste wanted to say no, but upon seeing the time, she agreed.
At 9:00 am, Celeste arrived at Sivoria Tower and went to the 28th floor to report to Celistian Solutions
A staff member saw her and took her to the HR manager. They talked about her job, salary, and the company’s plans for the future.
Celeste was impressed. Even though the company was new, it had big projects and a lot of resources. It even seemed as good as older, more established companies. Plus, everyone worlding there was really talented too
Happy with the company, Celeste quickly finished her onboarding.
Meanwhile, in the Ford Corporation’s office, Marcus got a call from Sabrina Anderson, who ran Celistian Solutions
She said, “Mr. Marcus, Celeste’s paperwork is done. She’s started work here, and everything is going well.”
“Good. Make sure she’s treated well and that nothing goes wrong. Keep it low–key too–don’t let anyone find out,” Marcus said.
Sabrina replied, “Got it.”
Marcus them sent a quick message to Julian, who was on the top floor.
“Julian, Celeste’s job is set.”
Julian replied simply, “Okay.”
Marcus then sent another message.
“I heard that William is going to Creative Solutions. He’s probably going to talk about buying them. I’m going to check it out.”
“Go ahead. Do a good job, and remember y
your three–month break” Julian texted back
Marcus answered, “Don’t worry. I’ve got it covered.”
With that, he ended the call, left his office and eagerly headed toward Creative Solutions.
