Chapter 56
Samuel jumped out of his chair and hugged Celeste. He exclaimed, “Great, now I can see Ms. Hart every day!”
When she looked at his adorable face, she couldn’t help but smile. She felt her heart soften up too. Yes, she would be able to see him every day from now on. That would be really great.
After breakfast, Celeste went to the company. By noon, she received a call from Samuel. He reminded her to eat on time and she couldn’t help but feel warm in
Inside.
Not long after, she received another call from an unknown number. Celeste picked up the call and a male voice came from the other side.
“Celeste, I want to see you tonight. Come home.” It was Ethan. His tone wasn’t friendly, but it wasn’t as harsh as it had been in the past.
Celeste’s expression turned cold. She knew why he wanted to see her–it was because of the Prescotts.
“Sorry, but my father is dead. You must have the wrong number.” With that, she hung up the phone.
On the other end, Ethan was left with a beeping tone as she hung up. His face turned ashen.
He thought about the Fords and composed himself. He tried dialing the number again, only to find that he had been blocked.
He was so furious he slammed his hand on the table. Celeste was such an ungrateful daughter
She didn’t think about the call and continued to focus on her work
The entire day passed by in a busy blur. By the evening, she packed up and left the office. As she walked out of the building, she saw a familiar figure standing not far away–It was Ethan
Celeste’s eyes flickered with an unknown emotion. She didn’t expect him to figure out her company’s address so quickdy.
Ethan seemed to have been waiting for her for a while. He glared at her angrily and demanded, “Come back with me. We need to talk.”
As she looked at him, she felt a strong wave of disgust. She replied coldly, “We have nothing to talk about.” With that, she tried to walk away.
However, Ethan blocked her path. When he thought about the call earlier, he became even more furious. “You won’t listen to me when I’m being nice. So don’t blame me for being harsh!”
With that, he waved his hand. Two bodyguards approached her and forcibly pushed Celeste into the car.
“Let me go!” she cried out as she struggled. But she was no match for the two men.
Once they were inside the car, they let her go. The doors were quicldy locked.
“What do you want, Mr. Hart?” Celeste’s face was expressionless and her tone was indifferent.
It was bad enough that william had locked her out to take her away. And now, Ethan even brought bodyguards to Iddnap her? Did they think she was easy Ethan got straight to the point. He asked, “Do you know Julian Ford?”
Celeste’s expression darkened but she didn’t deny it. “So what if I do? What do you want?” “Call Julian Ford now and arrange a meeting. Or else you won’t be going anywhere!”
