Chapter 59
Stacy’s eyes glinted evilly. There was a smile on her face as she said slowly, “oh, it’s nothing. Celeste just had a baby for someone else a few years ago…..”
Although she didn’t finish her sentence, Celeste knew what she was trying to imply. For a moment, she felt her mood sink. She fell a limit in her boundary snap a that second.
Celeste clenched her tists. Why? In the past, no matter how much they humiliated her, she could endure It. But why, even now, they won’t leave her alone? Why?
Celeste saw how Stacy was about to reveal more, and her eyes glinted in anger. She lost control and got out of her seat. Then, she slapped Stacy across her face.
Celeste’s face was cold as she shouted, “Haven’t you said enough?”
Just a moment ago, Stacy was feeling delighted. She was imagining how Celeste would be dumped by julian if he knew,
However, the slap left her stunned. She held her face while staring blankly at Celeste. This was the second tinse Celeste had slapped her since they last met.
Stacy was furious. “Are you crazy, Celeste?” She pushed Celeste away and glared at hier.
If Julian wasn’t there, Stacy would’ve rushed up and tore Celeste apart.
On the other hand, Susan didn’t expect Celeste to hit Stary again. She stood up and fawned over Stacy’s swollen face with anger and concern. “How could you hit your sister, Celeste?”
“Celeste, what are you doing? Apologize to Stacy right now!” Ethan was equally furious
But with Julian present, he refrained from saying anything too harsh.
Celeste stood there wordlessly. She had used up all her strength. At that moment, she felt the numbness in her hands that seemed to spread to her heart…
Stacy sneered at her. “Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you too ashamed to speak? You had the nerve to do it but won’t let anyone talk about it. In that case, I’ll say it anyway.”
With that, she turned to Julian and continued, “Mr. Ford, let me tell you. My dear sister isn’t as clean as you think! The horrible things she did a few years ago would shock you.”
Stacy glanced at Celeste disdainfully. “Back then, she even gave herself away for money..
Celeste stood there coldly. She felt as if her entire body was submerged in water.
The darkness she felt closed in as she trembled. Each word from Stacy felt like a knife digging deeper into her heart. Pushing her deeper and deeper into despair… Julian had never seen Celeste so upset and angry. She looked like she was on the verge of brealding down.
He realized that Stacy must’ve touched something deeply personal. Something that Celeste didn’t want him to know,
“Enough,” Julian interrupted Stacy.
Stacy was shocked. Didn’t he want to know about Celeste’s past? She looked up in confusion, only to be met with Julian’s dark eyes which looked terrifyingly cold. Stacy shrank back and momentarily forgot what she was about to say. However, the stinging pain on her face brought her back to reality. No, she couldn’t let this go. She had to make sure Julian saw Celeste for who she really was.
She wanted Celeste to pay for that slap
Just as Stacy was about to speak again, Julian’s cold voice cut through the air. “I’ll judge who Celeste is myself. I don’t need to hear it from anyone else. Keep your mouth shut and don’t let me hear another word about her from you.
“Otherwise… You won’t be needing your tongue anymore.”
With that, he didn’t bother with the Harts anymore. He grabbed Celeste’s hand and left.
