Just what exactly should be done now about Julian and Celeste?
1/1
For the next few days, Celeste’s days were uneventful. She didn’t meet Samuel or Julian again, and no one from the Hatts or the Prescotts had approached her. Everything that had happened was like a dream. She thought that was how the rest of her days would look like.
However, one day, she had just gotten off work and arrived at her apartment when a child came rumming toward her, stumbling on his way.
“Ms. Har!”
Celeste froze when she heard that familiar voice. Looking down, she stared at the child who was hugging her leg. Her eyes reddened instantly. It was Samuel. She paused for some time before stooping to look at him. He was carrying a bag, clearly having just finished school. His face shone with excitement and joy, and he had apparently slimmed down
She asked, “Sam, why have you come? Did… your dad take you here?”
If Samuel was here, did it mean Julian was here too? Celeste looked around her, feeling flustered.
Samuel shook his head. “Of course not. Dad is mean. He wouldn’t allow me to see you, Ms. Hart. He even left me with Grandpa and Grandma. I missed you so much, yet you didn’t come to see me. So, 1 came on my own.”
As he spoke, he choked up. He wrapped his arms tightly around Celeste’s neck.
Softly, he continued, “Dad said you’re busy and will never come to see me again. I’m so sad. Ms. Hart, I won’t disturb you when you’re worlding, so can you come to see me when you’re free? just a little while will do!”
s, Celeste felt her heart ache very badly. She felt guilty. However, she couldn’t give in.
Upon hearing Samuel’s gentle words,
Although reluctant, she could only say, “I’m sorry, Sam. I’m really busy for now. Hurry up and go home! Your family will be worried otherwise.”
Since she told Julian they should stop seeing each other, she shouldn’t meet Samuel again.
However, Samuel finally got to meet Celeste after so long. There was no way he would leave just like that. He hugged Celeste tightly and refused to let go. “No, I’m not leaving. Ms. Hart, you don’t miss me, do you? Do you not like me anymore?”
He seemed very aggrieved.
Celeste quickly explained, “No, no. Why would you think that? I’ve been thinking of you every day, and of course, I like

” you.”
Samuel heaved a sigh of relief, thinking it was great that Celeste still liked him. After a pause, he asked again, “Then can I stay with you?
“No, you can’t,” Celeste declined without hesitation Julian would definitely come looking for Samuel if the latter stayed with her. If that happened, she would have to meet Julian. And for now, she couldn’t bring herself to face him.
Upon hearing that, Samuel’s expression tell. Seeing that he was about to cry, Celeste immediately corrected herself, “You can have dinner with me, though. But you have to promise me you’ll go home after that.”
“Okay, okay, I’ll promise you, Ms. Hart. Samuel nodded happily. While tugging on Cel

on Celeste’s hand, he headed straight for her apartment, afraid she would change
Celeste felt amused yet exasperated. Eventually, she yielded. As long as she didn’t meet Julian, it was fine to meet Samuel secretly.
Tim Carter, Samuel’s driver, was nearby. He called Julian, who was at home, when he saw Celeste and Samuel leave. He reported respectfully, “Mr. Ford, Mr. Samuel has gone with Ms. Hart.”
