Chapter 77
Since Sabrina had said so, it wouldn’t be good if Celeste kept rejecting her. She had no choice but to go home.
Having completed the task, Sabrina reported to Marcus. After receiving the news, Marcus went to the office to inform Julian, “Julian, Celeste has gone back to rest.
“Okay,” Jalian replied nonchalantly with a nod
“Aren’t you going back to get some test then?
Marcus had heard about what had happened the day before from Michael.
“It’s okay.”
“With that, Julian lowered his head and continued to work on the documents in his hands.
Marcus shook his head helplessly. It seemed like Julian had watched over Celeste at the hospital entrance the whole night, but they hadn’t met each other. He wondered how long it would take for them to reconcile.
Celeste went home and slept until the afternoon. She had a simple lunch and started working again. It would be Samuel’s birthday soon, so she had to finish up the project as soon as possible.
Time flew by when she was busy. In the evening, the doorbell rang.
Celeste opened the door and saw Samuel standing outside. He was dressed in a casual outfit. He looked so adorable with a smile on his face. Then, he called out sweetly. “Ms. Hart.”
He staggered into the house as he called her. She spotted that he was holding a bag of fruits.
Celeste was stunned for a while. Smiling, she said, “Sam, why did you bring fruits here?”
Samuel blinked and replied, “The chauffeur said it wasn’t nice to keep bothering you and that I had to bring some gifts. So I’ve bought some fruits.”
Seeing how Samuel was acting like an adult, Celeste couldn’t help but laugh. She squatted and pinched his cheek. “You’re not bothering me at all. I’m glad to see you. You don’t have to bring me any gifts next time, okay?”
Samuel chuckled and replied, “I’m happier to see you, Ms. Hart.”
Celeste patted his head and stood up while smiling. “I’m going to prepare the dinner. You can play on your own in the living room for a while.
“No, no. I want to help you, Ms. Hart. I’ll wash some fruits for you.”
With that, Samuel walked unsteadily into the kitchen with the bag of fruits,
Celeste’s smile grew wider.
In the kitchen, Samuel helped Celeste to wash the fruits before washing the vegetables. He was such a hardworking helper.
All the dishes were done after half an hour. The two had their dinner at the dining table. It was a very harmonious scene
In contrast to the lively atmosphere upstairs, it was dead silent in the Maybach downstairs.
Julian, the so–called chauffeur, was sitting in the delver’s seat. His face was devoid of expression. He stared at the lights upstairs as he sighed and subconsciously tapped on the steering wheel. It was unfair.
Samuel got to eat but not him. Although both of them were from the Ford family, the treatments they received were completely different
After Samuel was done eating, Celeste prepared some pastries and placed them on the table.
“Ms. Hart, I’ve done eating. Could I bring these pastries home to have them as supper?”
Celeste grinned and agreed to his request.
“Of course, yes. Remember to tell the butler to heat the pastries up before you eat them later.”
Samuel nodded obediently. Then, Celeste packed the pastries,
“Ms. Hart, I’m leaving. I’ll come again tomorrow.”
Celeste was surprised, wondering why Samuel was leaving in such a hurry. He had finished his food faster than usual, and now, he was about to leave.
with that thought in mind, she couldn’t help but ask, “Sam, why are you leaving in such a rush today? Is there anything urgent?”
Samuel hugged Celeste. “Ms. Hart, do you feel reluctant to let me go? I feel the same, too. But the chauffeur is waiting for me downstairs. I can’t make him wait for too long
