Chapter 81
Celeste wore a alcohol.
a white shirt paired with jeans. Despite dressing casually, she looked graceful. Her cheeks were slightly red, and it seemed like she had drunk some
Julian stared at Celeste, his eyes filled with a whirlwind of emotions.
Celeste seemed slightly panicked. She couldn’t remember how long it had been since the last time they met each other.
At that time, she had suggested that they should stop contacting each other. But now, they met each other at a place like this. Celeste hesitated and wondered if she should greet him.
Just as the two were caught up in an awkward situation, the door of the private room in front of them opened. Marcus came out and asked, “Where’s Julian? He’s drunk so much and should be drunk, Where has he gone to?”
Marcus looked up and saw julian and Celeste.
“Julian, you’re here, I’ve been looking for you. Are you okay after drinking so much?” Marcus asked.
Julian narrowed his eyes slightly.
Celeste felt a bit awkward. Now, she had no choice but to greet him. She walked up to them and forced herself to remain calm as she said, “Mr. Julian, Mr. Marcus.” She hung her head low and dared not look at Julian’s face.
Marcus pretended to be surprised. “Ms. Hart, what a coincidence!”
“Yeah. Our company is having a gathering here,” Celeste replied.
“Really? Has the gathering ended? Are you leaving?” Marcus asked.
Celeste was stunned. Marcus looked as though he had found his savior as he stared at her. He immediately tugged at Celeste and said, “Julian is drunk Could you
care of him?”
“Huh? Celeste blinked in puzzlement. She was suddenly told to take care of Julian.
Celeste felt a strong urge to tum him down. They had agreed to cut ties with each other. It would be so awkward for her to be alone with him.
I have to attend to my client laside. I really can’t leave. Please help! Just send him home. Is that okay?” Marcus asked anxiously.
He sounded like he was about to close a billion–dollar deal in the private room and had no time to waste.
Celeste’s lips twitched. She wondered why they hadn’t brought any assistants or chauffeurs along when they went for a business meeting
Julian stood at the side and shot a cold look at Marcus, who was putting on an act. He had only had a tew glasses of alcohol and wasn’t drunk at all. He merely came out to take a breather
Marcus wouldn’t stop hinting at Julian with his gaze.
Marcus hoped that Julian would take the hint and seize the chance to pursue his happiness. At that point, he was so afraid that fullan would say he wasn’t drunk. After pondering for a while, Marcus seemed to have made up his mind. Then, he pushed Julian.
Julian couldn’t react in time and stumbled forward.
Celeste’s pupils contracted. She quickly held him and stammered as she asked, “A–Are you okay?”
A hint of joy flirted across Marcus‘ eyes after he achieved his goal. “Sorry for the trouble. I’ll leave Julian to you.”
After saying that, Marcus hastily returned to the private room.
Celeste was stunned. She stared at the man next to her. Julian leaned on ber lazily, and she could feel the heat and smell of alcohol on her face.
She wondered if he was truly drunk
Celeste was lost for words. She couldn’t just leave him there, so she could only give in and ask, “Can you still wall?”
Julian shook his head and pursed his lips. Then, he replied indifferently, “No. Hold me.”
He sounded just like a child. He was still domineering even when he was drunk Celeste nodded resignedly.
