Chapter 43: Real–life CS
Meanwhile, Frank showed no emotion as he dismissed the beautiful women and a delicate boy who had come knocking on his door to warm his bed. He closed the doos and stepped into the bathroom.
Through makeup, the person in the bathroom mirror bore only 30% resemblance to his original face.
The water in the bathroom was ninning, and Frank’s thoughts drifted back to the previous day.
The whole situation had progressed like a rocket launch, quickly and without any chance to back our.
Yesterday, after transferring Decker’s case to a higher level for review, Frank immediately received a mission notification.
He was tasked with Infiltrating a private club to gather evidence and, at the right moment, signal for the FBI to arrest the perpetrator
The rat had efficiently arranged a take identity for him.
Frank spent an attemoon learning etiquette and posture, having a signal transmitter implanted under his skin, memorizing information, and preparing everything before being sent to this private island.
Just by looking at the scenery and buildings, the place was indeed a rare beauty.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts. Abutler in a black suit stood at the door, respectfully saying, “Mr. Schneider, I apologize for disturbing your rest, but the boss would like you to join him for some dessert.”
Franknodded coldly.
The butler kept his head bowed, and Frank looked puzzled.
According to the information gathered by the FBI, this boss was about to undergo surgery. Why would he summon Frank at such a critical time?
Moreover, this man never directly involved himself in the island’s business or games, typically delegating tasks to his secretary. He seemed more interested in parties filled with young, beautiful girls than in actual hunting.
Still, this was an opportunity.
Frank put on a seemingly amiable smile, tinged with arrogance and distance, though it barely qualified as a smile, “It’s an honor. May I change my clothes first?”
Twenty minutes later, Frank met the boss.
It was the most lavish and luxurious building on the island. The butler led Frank to a conference room, where two malds in short skirts were making tea in the spacious coom
Sitting behind the table was an old, obese man
In truth, the man wasn’t that old, but his excessive weight gave his face many wrinkles, and his indulgence had left dark circles under his eyes sitting in the luxurious chair, he resembled a roast pig on a decorative platter.
“Good evening, Mr. Schneider,” the old man began, his breathing heavy like a high–powered machine.
Frank nodded slightly, “It’s an honor to meet you, Mr. Teo Baker.”
Two days later.
Early in the morning, a loudspeaker woke everyone up,
“Getup! Everyone up i
immediately! Put on your work clothes!”
Simultaneously, several strong men burst in, heading everyone like sheep, forcing them to dress and head outside amidst curses and complaints
A few minutes later, everyone was given a day’s worth of bread and food
Then they were told they had to enter the jungle.
Someone asked, “What for? Aren’t we supposed to be working on experiments?
Many people started shouting
Damn Shouldn’t we be going to a cold, sterile laboratory?
A burly man pointed his gun skyward
With a gunshot, everyone fell silent.
The man, cold and impatient, said, “Your only tasks to survive!”
What did that mean?
But no one dared to ask further after the warning.
“AL 7.30 PM, the camp will distribute dinner and close the gates, the man continued
Twenty minutes later, the group, carrying their guns, drove everyone out of the camp.

Insects
The jungle was dense with wild grass, at least half a person high, and the woods were deep and silent, filled Nina glanced back at the man following her, stopping impatiently, “Stop, you don’t want to lonow the consequences.”
Muster raised his hands, “Don’t be like that, I meanno harm.”
*Don’t you think it’s strange? I think it’s better for two people to work together than to go alone.”
Mine replied without hesitation, “Eporter working alone.“*
At that moment, they both heard the sound of a car engine and someone shouting.
“What’s that noise?” Munster wondered, moving closer to the asphalt road. Suddenly, a pair of hands pulled him back.
He fell to the ground, looking up to see Nina signaling for silence.
A scream, not quite human, echoed through the air.
Munster shuddered.
They peeked from the roadside bushes and saw a figure in orange running desperately on the road.
Gunshots followed, and Munster watched in horror as the person’s body crumpled to the ground, convulsing and screaming.
Two men got out of their cars, holding hunting rifles.
“That’s my prey.”
“No, Thit him first, the other argued. “Since we can’t prove it, let’s leave it to fate.”
They flipped a coin, and the winner laughed, “The prey is mine! I still need a black beast’s skall for my goblet…
The other shrugged as the winner pulled out a knife and approached the struggling man.
The woman’s warmth was fading
“You knew all along!” Munster chased after Nina, breathlessly grabbing her shorts, “Tale me with you! I swear to God, I won’t ruin your plans! I can help you!”
Nina coolly assessed him.
strong, not gym–built muscles, but real survival instincts.
Maybe useful.
“What’s next?”
*Collect
water, food, build a temporary shelter, then get a gun,” Nina said, eyes on a distant building.
Munster’s eyes lit up
Mina led Munster to build a bamboo hut in the jungle.
Or rather, Nina directed, and Munster executed.
He tried to resist but eventually complied under her stern authority.
The next day, after the first day’s despair, few dared to walk the road.
Nina set traps and looked at Munster.
“You go.”
Ablade pierced through a body, pinning it to a tree with a burst of blood.
Munster looked at the fallen man, dog, and guard, feeling a new respect for Nina.
“The first one.”
Nina smiled, wiped her knife clean, and picked up the guard’s and man’s guns.
She handled the gun like a cherished lover, looking angelic in the sunlight.
The angel smiled coldly, nodding to the bodies, “Change clothes and dismantle the traps.”
Munster grumbled, “Why dismantle? There are still many people who deserve to die.”
Nina replied indifferently, “But there are also many innocent people.” Like those trying to escape, the so–called “beasts.”
Reluctantly, Munster dismantled the traps.
As he worked, he speculated about Nina’s identity.
So soft–hearted yet knowledgeable, could she be an undercover cop?
