Everyone Morales in the box was stunned.
So, if Carl wasn’t looking for Lora or even giving them any attention, who else was he looking for?
Vince felt like his brain wasn’t functioning properly. After all, the Morales family, including him and his grandmother, were at the top of the pyramid.
To everyone’s shock, Carl greeted Anthony’s mother instead.
He even showed a very respectful attitude toward her
It would have been understandable if Carl had been like this before.
After all, the Garza family had some clout in Mogrord City. But now they had been kicked out of the family
In high society, nobody was supposed to talk to them willingly.

Considering Carl’s status, he couldn’t possibly be unaware of the news.
“Mr. Pierce, don’t you know that they were kicked out of the Garza family! The Garza boy molested his sister–in–law three years ago and spent three years in prison. He’s not the respected man anymore, and she is no longer the graceful lady. You know what they say, a fallen phoenix is not as good as a chicken. And now he’s trying to wed his way back into our family!”
Vince said in a disgusting tone, trying to have Carl in his kague.
He thought Carl would apprenate his information
Carl was under Derrick, the richest person in the city. If Vince could establish a connection with Derrick through Carl, his family status would rise sharply.
Elisa would be totally devastated and wouldn’t be able to compete with Vince again.
At that point, Vince was already daydreaming about a future friendship with Derrick.
“Who are you! And did Mrs. Garza ask for your input?”
Carl raised an eyebrow and questioned Vince.
Carl’s commanding aura instantly filled the room, making Vince seem like a little girl in his presence.

They might not care about the Garza family, but their connection to Derrick was far too important to risk offending

As Carl kept glancing over at Anthony, Anthony couldn’t help but smile to himself.
He had to admit that Derrick was a smart man
If Derrick had just come over and said hello, it would’ve been a completely different story.
Since Derrick has committed to acting out the charade, Anthony had to play along and let it continue.
Anthony didn’t say anything and stood aside with a smile.
“Pardon me?”
Leah was stunned, wondering why such an important person knew her and treated her so nicely
“Mrs Garza. I’m Carl Pierce, the manager of this restaurant”
Carl quickly pulled out a business card and handed it over

Already feeling extremely annoyed, Vince came up with an idea to strike back at Anthony, “Hey. Mr. Pierce, is it possible to book a wedding party here now! Do you have any open spots?”
That’s common knowledge. You need to book at least a month in advance for events at Medallion Hotel. I can tell you that we’re fully booked for the next two months.”
Carl meered and rolled his eyes at Vince in his mind.
“What a stupid question. Does he seriously think they can just host a party whenever they want here!
As the top hotel in Novaria City, we have standards to mattain.
Even the most powerful families in the city couldn’t juurest in line and book a party on the spot
They have to book in advance or wait. The rules were the rules Carl thought.
Vince couldn’t help but smile at the response. He had gotten the answer he was hoping for..
“Yo, Anthony, did you hear that? When you brag, make sure it’s Jest surreal, Planning on holding your wedding here in three days? Guess you’re getting slapped in the face really quick, huh?”
Anthony had just boasted in front of the whole Morales family about the wedding.
He said it would be Derrick’s honor to have his wedding held there.
Now the manager of that place said clearly that the place was fully booked in recent two months.
Vince couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to lease Anthony
“Ha! He’s just a newly–released ex–criminal, thinking he’s the boss now.”
“Even if the real boss himself comes to Novaria City, he will have to follow Mr. Elliott’s arrangements. And that goes double for this guy here.”
“Why don’t you just book a few tables at some fast–food restaurant instead I also do, though I already feel sorry for Elisa.”
“I don’t know about Elisa, but a fast–food restaurant will be perfect for him. It matches his status pretty well, don’t you think?”
The rest of the Morales family chimed in, laughing and mocking Anthony, most of whom were at Vince’s camp,
They saw it as a good opportunity to stomp on Elisa and make Vince remember their “contributions”
Carl had come on orders from Derrick, but he couldn’t do anything about the situation.
Medallion Hotel never allowed cutting in line.
Hence, it was impossible for Anthony to get a spot for his wedding party in just three days.
Carl had to remain silent on the matter.
“Anthony Garza, do you think we’re not embarrassed enough?”
Finally unable to hold it in any longer, Elisa snapped.
She felt like a complete joke, stuck with an ex–criminal who had just been released from prison and was humiliated in public for everyone to gawk
As a well–bred girl, when had she ever been subjected to such humiliation before!
Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked pitifully at Anthony, who couldn’t bear to

“Elisa, even though I know you don’t have any feelings for me, I’ll still give you a grand wedding. Three days later, we’ll have a wedding party right here. I promise!” Anthony declared.
“Hahat Did everyone hear that Anthony Garza is trying to save face. Didn’t you hear what Mr. Pierce said earlier? Why don’t we just book you a fast–food restaurant instead, since it suits your status?”
Vince Laughed as he teased Anthony, feeling triumphant.
In three days, when Anthony and Elisa got married, it would be the big finale of the whole drama.
Vince was confident that he would deliver the final blow and crush Elisa once and for all.
“With a hateful face like yours, Anthony Garza, you also have an even more hateful soul. I hate you!”
Elisa couldn’t hold back the tears that were welling up in her eyes anymore.
She stood up and ran outside in anger,
“Come on, sis. You don’t have to hate him? You’re being too harsh to this loser. Lower your standard, and it’ll all be the Vince said sarcastically.
As Elisa escaped, the could hear the mocking laughter of Vince and the rest of the family trailing behind her.
